get a vice...

Get a vice and test different pellets. Find the best for your air pistol and buy a sleeve from the same lot. My testing showed that it does not work just buying the same brand, model, size, and weight. It has to be from the same manufacturing lot... I am a beginner too (three U.S.A. Shooting events)...

me too...

You're doing better than me.
In my first three air pistol events I've scored about 15 points less than my practice matches.

RIKA coach

Hi,

I now have a RIKA.
The first thing I found is that my trigger control is not what I thought it was. I would like to learn more... but I think I need help.

Will someone take one of my RIKA sessions and critique it?
This way I will learn to interpret the data.

Thanks

Not what I thought

I bought a Rika...
When I begin to blur my trigger control deteriorates but I'm still on target.
Not what I had thought...

it is always too late to "talk about mindlessness"

From my perspective it is always too late to "talk about mindlessness".

What different people mean by "thinking" is quite broad and usually ill defined.
If I focus on the front sight am I thinking?
If I notice the bull is sharp and abort am I thinking?

process

Mr. Horton,

I find it very useful to hear about your process. In your series of tasks that lead to the shot breaking, how does an abort happen?

I'm also interested in the key indicators for an abort, but that may be outside the topic of multitasking.

Thanks,
Vin

Thanks!

It seems that sun light was the major contributor to the low precision. I just shot after sun set and it was better.

I'm not to concerned with accuracy- more with precision.
When shooting live what precision do people generally get?
Better than plus or minus 3mm?

Thanks,

RIKA calibration

Hi,
Can anyone help me with calibrating a RIKA?
The accuracy and precision seem quite low.
The instruction seem lacking too.

ok!

It makes sense that polarized lens do not reduce glare for non polarized light, except that they darken the image like a gray filter. But, isn't the haze caused by too much light polarized by the sight gap? I'm guessing that polarization isn't going to be a solution for me, but it would be great to ...

Is polarization the best way to reduce light glare in bright light conditions?

it's great now...

Thanks for all the help.
I opened up the action and adjusted the trigger.
It went very well and it helped in the last match.
The trigger weight is set at ~550grams and it feels like half of what it felt like before.
Thanks,

I agree...

Hi Rover,

If I use my iris to control light levels does it matter if it is on the front or back of the lens?

Thanks,
Vin
