Re: Reguest for Moderator Action - End Politics
This is the "Shooters Lounge" section of TT. Lounges are generally places for open conversation with no topic restriction other than common decency. Nobody forces you to click on a posting. If Rover annoys, don't read his posts. I agree. I would have been surprised if there had not been s...

Reguest for Moderator Action - End Politics
Rarely posting, I read TargetTalk for insight into the sport of precision shooting, not for political bickering. There are numerous chat sites that are politically themed, but scarce few are devoted precision shooting. I respectfully request that the moderators and administrator either ban politics ...

A used gun in hand is a lot better than a few pictures. Will they let you shoot it? Three magazines worth of SV will probably tell you if it is reliable. Brand new guns sometimes have problems too. A guy I knew sent his new MP90 back to Larry twice before it would work. Each time, it took three or f...

I made one using a cheap butterfly net, PVC pipe, a plastic ammo box, an o-ring, flexible metal strapping and heavy screws. Build a PVC frame that sits on top of the ammo box out of 4, 90° elbows, 2 pieces of pipe for the short ends, 1 long piece of pipe for 1 of the long sides, 2 pieces of pipe and...

shootright - I think what guest #1 was implying, was that you should do some searching yourself before posting. If you look at the links to the right of the TargetTalk header, there are links for Calendar, FAQ, Search , Memberlist, etc. Personally, I have answered most of my own questions using the ...

If you're looking for a replacement for a scope, and the associated position change to look through the scope, how about a baby monitor? You can even buy ones that play lullabies to your target. :-P For example, $80 will get you: http://www.walmart.com/ip/MOTOROLA-Digital-Video-Baby-Monitor-with-1.5...

My advice (free and only worth the cost) 1. Get over your cold. 2. 'Play' with your new 'toy'. Hold it, feel it, dry-fire it, become 'one' with it, etc. 3. After getting over your cold, dry-fire it and shoot it. Dry-fire it. Shoot it. And repeat. Oh, and dry-fire it. Did I mention that you should dr...

Deanna at Larry's tells me that the Xesse is made and assembled in Germany. I can't say what Brenzovich's been smoking. There is a standard and a sport model. The upgrades to the sport model include a better rear sight, a front sight that rotates for three different widths and an upgraded grip. Larr...

Hammerli Xesse
I called Brenzovich http://www.brenzovich.com/ as they were listed as an importer for Walther/Hammerli. The gentleman told me that they had discontinued their relationship about six years ago. He said Walther had transferred all Hammerli manufacturing to China. Can anyone confirm this? What about W...

I forgot because it's become such a habit,... When cocking, always pull on both ears of the hood/bolt handle and try to pull back evenly, and slowly. That way, you can feel both sides click back. You may also feel one side click back before the other! Since I've found that one side can be cocked whi...

Like Richard H said, there are a lot of inter-dependencies. I'm not sure, but I think the second stage travel comes out of the first stage travel. If the first stage is non-existent, there isn't anything left for the second stage. Also, I think the trigger stop might affect the travel(s). You might ...

Thank you
Thank you all for your suggestions and insight.
I took the gun to a gunsmith. His opinion is that the extractor is too sharp. It was holding the spent case just a wee bit too long. He is going to round the edges slightly.
Thank you again.

Pardini SP stove pipes
Apparently, I have an especially finicky Pardini. I keep having stove pipe issues. To resolve the issues, I have tried; different kinds of ammunition (Federal, SK, Aquila, Eley Sport, RWS) repeated thorough cleanings oiling the ammunition (Break Free, FP-10) 'tweaking' the magazine lips reversing th...
