Where to find smallbore coaching in SE Wisconsin (will pay)

Hi all, I have been shooting 4p smallbore for 2 years coming from a Highpower background. My scores have increased over the 2 years, but I have been stuck at a mediocre level for the last 8-10 matches and I need some professional guidance. I am not proud to say that I have been shooting low 300's (o...

The OP stated that it only happens in kneeling. I don't think it is the gun.

I had that same problem in smallbore. It turned out to be my sight picture (alignment) in that position.

I use Bob Jones glasses and I've been happy with them. They may look funny, but they work and are inexpensive.

1/4" match rifle sights

I installed a Phoenix Precision sights on my new Anchutz 1913/1918. The sight is the same one I have on my WOA match rifle. The sight work great for me, but I am not an Olympic grade shooter. I shoot 50' gallery, 50, 100 & 200 (mini palma) matches with it. Jim btw: I bought the last 11mm mount t...

Steel cost less than brass

Has anyone looked at the new Hornady "Steel Match" ammo?

I used a 82g my first year and than sold it and bought an Anschutz. My scores went way up, it is all about the trigger.

Hold hard,

I just picked up my new 1913/precise yesterday. What do you guys recommend to clean the preservative (cosmaline?) off the rifle?

Did I mention that WOW is the correct term.

Jim, Are they going to be able to have the rifle matches at Hartland this year after the "trouble"? Greg Greg, I believe that Hartland received their conditional use permit to resume operations. For those of you not aware of what happened out there last year, a .45acp round left the range...

Thanks guys for the input. I have order the rifle without any sights at this point. I will most likely go with the Centra or smaller Anschutz (6805) the 7002 seemed too bulky to me. Which ever rear sight I go with, I'll be using a 22mm up front. From what I read in the earlier posts, many of you hav...

I talked to Gary @ Phoenix and he does not make a 11mm base for his sight and he agreed that an adapter may raise the sight too high for a standard front mount (I don't want to use a ladder sight) (The way smallbore sights extend behind their mounting location) Maybe Roadthing could chime in and tel...

Smallbore sight recommendations

I will be purchasing an Anschutz 1913 in a 1918 precise stock this year and I have a few questions for you seasoned smallbore shooters. I am new to this game and I don’t want to have to buy twice (or over buy) if I don’t need to. I have been shooting Highpower match rifles for a while now and my sig...

It is a used "rust" CMP Kimber 82G with a 15 minute belt sander job, but..... If you squint real hard you will see that it will turn in to 1913 in a Percise stock next fall ;)
