Re: Ideas for pellet trap -home use
Rover is right, use a box of rags. Or, you can stop by my house and I will give you the 2 custom plywood pellet traps I built with carpeted interiors (for sound), sloped back (to deduce blow back) and hanging leather baffles (because I thought it was a cool idea). After seeing Rover's post last year...

Tim is correct, the iris should be closer to the shooter and the magnifying lens is after the sighting ring.Tim S wrote:I think the far rifle has the element at the wrong end. The large thumbscrew is normally used for elements. The other is for filters, spirit levels, or eagle eye lenses.

Re: Refinishing FWB 602 stock?
The answer to your question is very easy
Sell it to me, I'll shoot it as is, you would not have to deal with the mess and we both win. :)
ps: I'll even pick up the shipping costs.

Re: New guy with a size question
You have me by 2" and 10 pounds and I have the 1913/precise rifle. There is plenty of length and height adjustments for taller/longer shooters.
You will want to get a tall set of sight risers and the "fast clamp" butt stock bolt.
Welcome to the addiction.

Spend the $25 at Champions Choices and don't look back, you wont regret it.
Every time I change my butt plate from prone to offhand, I wonder why I didn't buy the knob earlier.

Re: Design Ideas
Ryan, I have been looking at making a empty brass catcher that fits in and pops out of a plastic "ammo can" using off the shelf item and no tools to assemble. Much like the one in the picture below. It would be for use at indoor public ranges where you can't go in front of the firing line ...

R,
Will you still fill my tank for free if I'm not shooting, but going diving?
Just wondering.

SPP,
Try seating your pellets in the "chamber". I worked for me and I have not had the problem happen since the 5th shot. (2 tins ago)
I like the pistol, I'm not an Olympic shooter like the rest of you, but I can call my shots with it.
I knew what I was getting at that price point.

Rover is right. After building all kinds of trap over the years, it took his advice in an earlier post and filled a box with rags and I haven't looked back.

I use Creedmore jacket for both SB & HP. I have a heavy Hardback with leather sleeves, cloth body, lower zippers and no mesh.

Re: Shooting glasses recommendation?
I use Bob Jones glasses and have been very happy with them. At under $100 complete with bifocal prescription they are hard to beat. You will get a lot of "Harry Potter" comments, but they stop when you out shoot them.

love the brown, I wish that was an option when I bought my 1913/1918.
It is amazing how may "old times" give me heck about my silver stock.

Re: Best barrel extension/bloop tube
Before Chris leaves.
Has anyone tried the Mec Berta 2 tube? I would like to add a little length, but I don't want to buy all new 22mm front sight stuff. or are you guys shooting a longer tube with 18mm front sights?
