Re: Cleaning pellets reducing accuracy?

I have a very limited experience of cleaning a couple of bad performing air rifle barrels with a bronze or brass brush followed by a patch, velocity dropped about 25-30m/s and it took as much as 80 shots for the velocity to get back to pre-cleaning numbers, accuracy was improved once the velocity se...

Re: Recoil buffer pad material

I have looked at buffers in several pistol designs and most (all that I have seen...) seem to be square and they also fill out the space they occupy, meaning that there is no space for movement in the buffer. For me, the proper design would allow for the buffer material to be displaced, like industr...

Re: target paper quality

I have used a front target with a cut out center of the right diameter in front of a regular target, you could mask the edges to match the target outside dimensions as well.

Pardini SP RF version, fails to eject a case but just spins it round through 90 or 180 degrees, causing a jam against the new round being fed. In my pardinis that means new extractor and extractor spring are needed... I normally try to extend the life of the parts by sharpening the hook of the extr...

One thing to consider:
The stated movement per click is true for one specific setting of the sight radius.
Short sight radius will give more movement per click at the target than a longer radius.

What I'd like to know is how the heck do you clean these things? I have the Irosa compensator, and I find it best to clean it after each training session. In my experience so far the lead builds up in the first chamber on the surfaces that faces the muzzle, the second chamber, the angled holes and ...

Is Norma R1 still available; it used to be the only one I would use. I have heard that the company Rhino bullets www.rhinobullets.com in Sweden sell a powder called Rhino R1 that is supposedly exactly the same as Norma R1. Manufactured by Bofors like Norma R1. Have not tried it myself though, I use...

I guess it's a little heavier than the guide gun in order to tame the recoil?

I put a limbsaver recoil pad on my guide gun, it did make quite a difference compared to the original ventilated pad.

Looks like good fun! However, the rifle in the pictures (it looks like a Marlin "Guide gun") doesn't (in my eyes at least) really qualify as an elephant gun... I have one myself, but I don't push it harder than 350gr@1900fps or 430gr@1600fps Anyway, that's plenty enough for anything in my ...

The technique I have seen is to use two magazines, one with one round to load the chamber and a full one with the following five rounds.

Next thought, is there a specific direction the magazine spring should be put in?
On some models turning the spring backwards can produce failures to feed.
And, yes, even new magazines can be put together the wrong way...

Just wondering, is the buffer in good condition?
It not that uncommon that the adjustment screw snaps off leaving the buffer slide hanging on the cross pin in the frame.

I could live with blazer, shirt, tie and appropriate trousers as shooting dress (uniform really).

I do however not wear a track suits unless I am running, I am not comfortable wearing one in public.

My SP1 RF worked flawlessly until a month ago when I took the electronics module out for cleaning after which I had to adjust the trigger for second stage position. After this it started doubling, in a local rapid fire stage (sport/centerfire) competition it doubled six times in two 30 shot matches....
