Re: 46m Storage?

"storing the pistol with the breech open" Glenn As I understand it, it means not to lock the breech lever down for long period of time, so no pressure is exerted on the breech seals in order to extend its life. Basically store the pistol with the breech like like the first picture, not li...

A google search turns up more pictures of Pang Wei shooting with the same pistol during the Beijing Olympics. Although I haven't found a picture taken from the right side, his grip appear to be a lot less suspicious in some of the pictures than in the original post: http://images.china.cn/attachemen...

Mark, you could try using a pair of small pliers to clamp the trigger blade just under the screw while loosening it. This should relieve most of the stress and make it easier for the screw to back off. Yes, counter-clockwise is loosening. The screws for the rear sight notch is clockwise to loosen.

I have a Baikal 46M. Can you set first stage to 400gm and second stage additional 130gm on 46M? Guest, the 1st and 2nd stage weights cannot be individually adjusted for the Izzy. From the trigger mechanism drawing you can see that the spring connected to screw C controls the weight of the trigger p...

studies show nearly quarter of americans over 40 have myopia, so many may be wearing the wrong diopters?? but that same study claims myopia makes you smarter? So its not the myopia winning medals, they are smarter. Interesting. If this myopia-smarts ("book smarts" I assume) correlation is...

DonDon, I'm sure others will provide you with excellent advice. Just a piece of caution: I have no way of verifying what's said in this blog article , but after reading it, I wouldn't risk putting compressed oxygen into my gun. Edit: found something else about filling airgun cylinder with compressed...

It was a bit tongue in cheek, but there are a LOT of very myopic Chinese! Spencer Indeed. I also noticed that there is a higher percentage of people with myopia in China than in the US, at least judging from the people I know in both countries. But that doesn't prevent some of the myopic Chinese fr...

Good job, Oz. You'll be upgrading to a spanking new AP in no time!! I am not qualified to comment on this issue. A search turned up a couple threads that discussed this 1500g rule that you may want to read ( here and here ). Putting aside what weight is the best for a shooter, I think muscle enduran...

j-team, great story. Spencer, thank you for the advice. My head position feels natural to me. But I'll pay more attention to the possible strains around my neck during long sessions. As for the height of my raised pistol, I would say my highest point is probably lower than Lukashyk in this picture (...

Re: How do you check your head position.

a small piece of translucent tape on the non-shooting eye lens will enable you to get the consistency you seek. Spencer Spencer, thanks for your response. How do you use the translucent tape? Do you place it such that it obscure a particular part of the field of vision from your non-shooting eye (t...

How do you check your head position.

I suspect that my head position might not be consistent. I try to get my chin close to my shoulder when I raise my pistol, so my head will be at more or less the same place for each shot. But I don't know if that is consistent enough, nor do I do that for every shot. I have read some people use the ...

Interesting. I did find the target with the black triangular center in the German catalog. They also seem to have most other training targets that Krueger makes, at least the ones for AP. However, I still cannot find the one with the completely black face. Is this target available from Edelmann?

Buying Kruger Targets

I am thinking of buying some Kruger training targets (3038 and 3040 shown below). So far, I've only found them in Kruger's online store based in Europe. The US seller I found (nealjguns) only sells regular Kruger targets. Does anyone know if there is any store that sells those targets in the US? If ...

D. Sub 6 "Area" Hold** Oz, IMHO to better portray what the shooter sees (or is supposed to see according to the others on this forum) using the sub-6 hold, the sights should be made clear, and the bull should be blurred (more blurry than the bulls in ABC, in both the horizontal and vertic...

Re: Help me with my IZH 46m rear sight

Guest, I am not sure what you mean by "15 clicks off center". Do you mean that you have adjust the rear sight by 15 clicks from where it was from the factory for it to center on the target? One thing to consider is that the rear notch plate is mounted on the base using two screws, which ca...

Oz, you may try using some training targets other than bullseye to get used to holding somewhere below the black. Kruger makes several training targets for air pistol that I would like to try sometime. In particular, I think the 3038 target with a triangular center (shown below) may help me with my ...
