Thanks Paul! I knew most of those and can add Jack du Toit as third in air and 9th in free, Collin County Community College (Texas). I was just looking and want to see the whole results. Maybe this week.

2010 Collegiate Pistol National Championships

Anyone know where to find the results to the NRA Inter-collegiate Pistol National Championships? Not on NRA's or AMU's website . The competition was shot March 18th through 20th at Fort Benning.

Thanks, Brooks

Piercing?

Was told ( sorry, third hand) of a kid from the same school as someone in my program, attempted to pierce thier earlobe with an unknown type of pellet and airgun. It did not make it through ( at least straight through). Caused a severe rip that took several stitches to close up.

Come down to Dallas and shoot with Teamshootingstars.org . We have a few high end pistols you can try and I can arrange a visit with Neil Stepp of I.S.S. (only 20 minutes from our club) where you can put hands on several types of pistols. You can contact me thru the above web site or call 214-735-70...

Hogwash, Bill

I disagree, Bill, and let me give you some examples. The US National Pistol Coach has never shot pistol competitively, however he is a great coach despite what many have said in the past, including me, however after spending time with him, I have changed my tune. One of the best coaches I know and i...

Shoe goo

Paint the soles with a product called "Shoe Goo". Once cured, it is a rubbery, tough surface. Beware, it may be too sticky at 1st, and if you walk on gravel, you will bring some w/ you.

World Record!

Changwon, Korea WC: Jong Oh Jin of Korea, qualifing 594- 100,99,99,99,99,98, 31 inner tens. Brian Beaman, 13th, 578-19x. Is this a new WR because of the scoring rule change or matched the previous WR?

weight

Jack, most everyone should experiment w/ different things. It is part of the process. Do not buy weight yet! 1st of all, an 35mm film canister w/ the bottom cut off fits over a Morini cylinder, stick self adhesive tire or hobby weights to the plastic canister. Fit is just tight enough so that you ca...

My MG2 works well w/ Eley Sport. Cheap, but dirty, however few problems and accurate enough at 25M. Aguila SE is the same stuff.

YMMV

I shot my MG2 at Nationals the last 2 years and have never had a malfunction in competition. I have only had a couple in the last 5000 rounds. I can shoot it very well, sometimes, no fault of the gun. The picture w/ the five tens and a total of 98 is in the slow fire section was a good run that put ...

" Crowd has spoken"? The unhappy-unknowing crowd just happens to be the loudest. I have had my MG2 for over two years, 21xx, and it is more reliable and I shoot it better than my former Pardini. I know of over 6 guns here in TX that the owners are very very happy w/ thier MG2's. Of course ...

Thanks, Bill. However we are still missing 26 thru 32. I talked to him this summer and he said he has intended to get the missing ones up somewhere. I may call him if they do not appear in the next few weeks. Great articles

Sag

Just more supporting evidence: The National Pistol Coach told one of our juniors on this subject after he observed him stopping on the bottom of the target, " Watch ISSF.tv and do as the best in the world do." In watching the footage ALL raise over and sag, no exceptions.
