Couple of Italian 1858 Remingtons, but they all need work to make competitive.
Try for a good used Old Army to start.
My 25m gun's are a well modified Uberti .36 Remington or my very old Hege Remington and well worn .44.

Re: Black powder gun
No longer available new, need to look on the Used guns web site.
https://usedguns.com.au/guns/used_lever ... ackpowder/
They go for $1000-$1200, be careful asparts are hard to get.

Re: cross training .177 .22 and .32
Why not, any shooting is good. Cross training is not only in calibre but can also be trigger types as well. From Free pistol light single stage 60/120g , to two stage 500/1000g precision trigger, all the way up to a 7 lb double action revolver. Its all about the basics, watch the sights and squeeze ...

Re: 25m RFP Proposed changes
The rules and changes for the next 4 year period up to the next Olympics are due on Jan 1st and usually published in Feburary. The ISSF nominates the events and they are endorsed by the IOC, not the host country. Extract from ISSF general rules. "The ISSF establishes Technical Rules for the sho...

Re: Anyone Figure Out How to Adjust the Velocity of Hammerli AP20's?
Buy a new hammer spring and compare the length, old vs new.
You could try a shim or two under the old spring and use a chronograph to see if the velocity changes.

Re: Morini 162 Screw Question
From memory the front screw either a 2.5mm x 0.45 or 3mm x 0.5 grub screw to adjust 1st stage trigger travel. Maybe 3mm, I think. The rear hole was originally for a trigger stop screw , but the electronic trigger does not have any trigger collapse on release. So not required nor fitted as the loads ...

Re: How to Shorten Morini 162EI Trigger Distance
The second stage let off on a 162e/ei is a critical setting. If set incorrectly the pistol may not function nor trigger reset. There is a small vertical adjustment screw in the trigger group adjcent to the micro switch mounting screws on the top of the housing. You need a 0.89 mm hex key to adjust. ...

Re: MORINI MELTDOWN=Don't buy 200EI for ANY Reason.
You probably broke it yourself.. i.e 'fixed' it until it broke.. :) The biggest problem are the owners themselves that do not know how the triggers work and adjust them outside the design parameters. A Air Pistol with two stage trigger is made up of 1st stage weight plus second stage weight to make...

Re: short vs long barrel
Depending on the pistol, the sight radius MAY be shorter on the compact models. Morinis have the same sight radius, but they do that my moving the rear sight back. It's no longer over the pivot point of the wrist, which means it moves more as you wobble, but you get used to it. It's also not just a...

Re: Tinted glasses for pistol shooting
In Australia we mainly shoot outdoors and in very high UV light. I use two tints after having played with tints for years. Light Yellow is used for low light/overcast conditions or targets under cover and dark. 10% Grey is used for shooting in full sunlight and full glare. Clear glass anti glare coa...

Re: 600 score
I'm surprised centre hold isn't more popular as it's much easier to aim at the thing you want to hit and you also have to concentrate harder to visualise the foresight against the grey background. "easier to aim at the thing you want to hit" There is so much wrong with this statement that...

Pull apart, remove from pistol and use a good quality Electrial Contact Spray Cleaner on all plugs. Check each plug for socket tension and repair any loose sockets. Check with a pin or needle the same size as connector pins. Do not force the socket. Plug in sockets and check for continuity across ea...

Re: Best brand of AP for the long term cost (US)
The worst battery failure I have had to repair was a unknown china battery that had sat in the safe for over three years (still left ON). The battery leak had delaminated the board and corroded the battery holder, black wired all the cables, corroded the plug and even corroded the micro switch to the...

One of the longest running still in production and top of the line Air Pistols is the Morini 162. A number of different variants are available and has had a few upgrades over the years but it was first used in 1992 and has won many medals since then. Like all Air Pistols, seals/"O" rings n...
