I had LASIK in 98 and one of the side effects for me is that I only see a nice round dot in quite bright sunshine. Cloudy day, a covered firing line, or, especially indoors, I will see multiple dots, something like the intersection graphs in math. Using an iris gives me a nice, sharp dot in all cond...

When I have horizontal shifts in point of impact, it is usually due to either change in grip or change in trigger finger placement. It would seem that a counterclockwise cant shouldn't shift your group to the right. If it happens consistently, I would say watch your sighters and just adjust your sig...

David, I've been using a serial Rika since 2003 with XP and Keyspan USB adapter with no problems. Even though I could read what Scott put on his website about it only working with the Keyspan adapters, I tried two other brands first, only to confirm that he was correct! I also was able to run it on ...

Oz, I'm not sure that I would consider the orientation of the pistol in your grip as part of natural point of aim. Some pistols have a grip you can adjust to orient the pistol to you. If not, you'll have to either modify the grip or adjust how you hold it. Same problem I've been having with my Morin...

Kirmdog, The best thing to do is to try out the grips to see what fits your hand best. Everyone's hands are different and each gun is different so if at all possible try to go somewhere that Larry's Guns or Champions Choice is set up and try the different grips for your pistol. You may find that the...

Sir, I have a M41, 2 Marvels, a Pardini and a SP20. I have shot equal scores (890) with all using a dot. I most often use a Marvel so all 3 matches in the 2700 use similar guns (I use a 1911 45 for CF and 45). This seems to give me my highest overall scores. I would not feel at a disadvantage with a...

Mine does the same thing. I have fired about 1000 pellets and dryfired a couple thousand more times since I bought it in June. It has just started doing this, usually starting after 30 or so dryfires. It starts making it difficult to set the trigger off and then after a few of those shots, it goes t...

Oz, Just returned from the AMU clinic at Ft. Benning. We talked about heavy guns and Darryl's take on it is that adding weight may (or may not) help in the short term, but the real issue is getting a better hold. Work on your hold, work on your strength/endurance and shoot a lighter gun. BTW some of...
