Re: Need a shooter's Optician
FWIW, if you have your eyeglasses prescription, adding a +0.5 or +0.75 to the spherical value for the shooting eye lens will make the appropriate change to one's eyeglasses prescription for shooting with iron sights. Of course, some guy on the internet making such claims is not really valid. As such...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
This may be a somewhat ignorant question, but what is the advantage of the 32 ACP compared to the 32 S&W long wadcutter? Is it cost, availability of brass, or some other factor? Part of reason for my query, it it seems most 32 ACP barrels are 0.311" diameter and most 32 S&W long barrels...

Re: Target Distance
It's all between the ears. Psychological or philosophical, take your pick. If training for competition, the 35 ft distance would (could?) build confidence that 33' will not be a problem. But, for some, the 31' distance is good enough. I don't think the internet can answer this one.

If they are static o-rings, 70 durometer is likely good enough. The o-ring store sells 70 and 90 durometer polyurethane o-rings in cast or polyether urethane (EU): http://www.theoringstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=367 I've found that if an order is already in place for McMaster-Carr, ...

Re: New versus old 41?
I don't own a 'newer' 41, and I would have to look up the serial number on mine to determine it's vintage. But, IMO, much like a Colt Officers Match target revolver, the S&W 41 was designed and built for shooting holes in paper very accurately. The S&W barrel can be swapped out, drilled and ...

Re: Precision Revolver Questions
EDIT: FWIW, the comment about the cylinder moving forward to remove the gap with the barrel and locking of the cylinder when the trigger is pulled is not unique to the Officers Model Match. I'm not a big Colt collector, but both my Officers Model Match and Officers Model Special have this feature -...

Re: Precision Revolver Questions
Below is my opinion, but it is based on facts and my personal experience (yes, I have a S&W 586 and Colt Officers Match): A Colt Officers Match revolver will consistently shoot more accurately than a S&W (fill in the model you like). There are a number of design differences which attribute t...

The Pardini P10 kit shows the same diagram with a bit better resolution: https://www.pardiniguns.com/store/produ ... cts_id=908
If the cylinder seems 'stuck' to the trigger group, perhaps some Kroil might help? If that sounds like Japanese, then disregard.
Good luck!

I tend to buy the R10 match pellets. I won't shoot more than 5000 per year. Perhaps I dry fire too much? At that rate, the additional cost over Diabolo Basics is about $60.00 per year. While that additional expense is affordable, the inherent tinker(er) in me needs to try out RWS Diablo Basics, RWS ...

Re: 10m Aiming Technique
Have you read "Successful Pistol Shooting" by Bob Hickey and Art Sievers (ISBN 978-0939414031)? They describe training (dry firing) so the front sight picture and subconscious are what cause the trigger finger movement. I think there is something to this, but it's more like an eastern phil...

Joe Brancato sells a high pressure (4500 psig, 300 Bar) molecular sieve filter/dryer for $400. This type of filter can be seen @ http://www.airtanksforsale.com/. The details are obfuscated along with where to get replacement filters, but the concept is sound - much like these Chinese compressors. Al...
