I have 7 High Standards, one is a 22 short gun. SK Standard Plus is my go-to ammunition in all of the long rifle models. Plus it is more accurate than CCI SV. I have never had any problems with it making the pistols function. Here is a chart of some testing I did a couple of years ago. http://i601.p...

Pardini
Thanks for the responses. I did read the FP22 thread but I did not know how much difference there was with the FPM. I didn't call Pardini as I thought the gun is a good deal so I am going to take my chances and just buy it. I will get some pics when I get it. Any further advice is appreciated and th...

Pardini FPM Free Pistol Opinions
I have dabbled with free pistol and never felt comfortable with my Walther FP that I have now. The Walther is very accurate and great trigger but it never seemed to "fit." I then got a chance to buy a TOZ from a guy who was getting out of shooting for $300 and I thought it would be a good ...

NRA International Pistol Match-Western PA
Our small club is going to try an approved international style match in Mountaindale, PA on Apr 11. Just three events for this first match; air, standard and free. If we get some positive turnout, it will be a regular event. More information can be obtained in the attached bulletin or requested at r...

Tinkering with Guns
[quote]The thing about all my handguns is that I don't tinker and if they are lucky they get an annual clean. In our club it seems the fellows with pistols which continually have problems, no matter what the brand, are those people who are tinkerers. who like to continually adjust sear engagement, t...

My worst gun
Although many folks are happy with theirs, my Baikal IZH-35M is far and away the most unreliable gun I have. I have 4 magazines and still it fails to feed at least once every 30 or so shots regardless which mag is in it. It is unfortunate because it is accurate and well balanced. To put it in perspe...

Walther FP repaired
In as much as I was unable to find a gunsmith who wanted to try to fix the Walther Free Pistol, I thought I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. Since I worked on communications equipment in the Marine Corps back in the early 70s, the technology looked familiar. I do have to say that I remember v...

Walther FP
Thank you for the offer of the photos. I am willing to try anything. I just took the gun apart and took a voltage reading at the capasitor after the circuit charged. It read 88 volts with the green light on. I wish I knew if that was good or not! :)

Have any repair resources for the FP developed?
My Walther FP stopped working about 25 shots into a free pistol match this weekend. The electronic trigger LED comes on green but now only briefly flashes red when the trigger is activated and immediately goes back to green--it does not fire. Before it took a couple of seconds for the green light to...

International style pistol match in western Pennsylvania
We are trying to gauge the interest in international pistol matchs in PA. If there is any interest, we would offer them on a regular basis. Our range is in Mountaindale (about 20 miles North of Altoona). It is a small indoor range with turning targets. We could do free, air, standard and center fire...
