G'day, My understanding from the information on the National Referees Council site in Australia (http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/nrc_pa/default.htm) is that the "location" of the malfunction has not changed - just the number. E.G. There were two in the 150 second Std Gun - it is now 1 and ...

G'day, Don't know dates but I owned a Hammerli 104 which John Gilman (Australia) used in the Olympics back in the 1970's. Excellent gun but spares are now becoming a real problem. Not that it uses many parts but things like main springs do go. The series 101 - 106 as I remember use a lot of the same...

G'day JohnK

It is also my understanding that the new RF target will be used for CF Duelling as well. I hope so as it makes it easier for club secretaries to balance their target stock if for no other reason.

Cheers from down under

Guest 1, My comments on the rapidfire and the justification of guns as a result of the Olympics. The .22 short comes under the category of "Rimfire". In Australia we have in most states 4 categories. "Air Pistol", "Rimfire", "Centre Fire" and "Black Powde...

The Olympic Spirit is dead?

G'day, In 1956 I, as a school kid, went to the Olympics in Melbourne Australia. I remember we were excited to support Australia's amateur sportsmen and women. I vaguely remember that one person was disqualified from the games because they earned about 5 pounds from their sport. I have never been to ...

Centrefire Pistols

G'day, Because we do not field shoot pistols in Australia and because ISSF has been the main centrefire firearm and given that we now have problems registering anything above .38 calibre (due to the piss poor polititians we have on the whole in Australia) we see a fair range of ISSF centrefire firea...

.32 projectiles

G'day, I have owned a Hammerli P240 and now a Benneli MP90S, both in .32. I had very good success with the 85 gn Lee liquid lube projectile in the P240 but could not get it to settle down in the MP90S. I now run the Taipan HBWC in .314 with 1.4/1.5 of WST. There was a bad batch of Taipan a few years...

Hammerli 280 Question

G'day, I have seen many of these guns here in Australia that have shot very well. The only real critisism I have heard about the gun is their limited life. People who are well up in the competition world, meaning they put a lot of ammo through their guns, have found they will not hold together and b...

Which ammo for Pardini SP?

G'day JonE, My experience with your gun is only as a club member and RO. I note that most who use American ammo in this gun seem to have malfunction problems. As you may know the dimensions of the European and the US ammo are different. I shoot a Benneli MP90S and a Hammerli 208 here in the Riverina...

Wheel of errors

G'day, I have misplaced my file with the clock face showing the likely reasons why a pistol shot has not hit the 10 ring. I have the Wheel of Misfortune from the Bullseye site but there is a better one, which I had, but I cannot remember where I got it from. Can you assist me with an address to down...

It appears to me that group is one of the most important points in practice. The group is easily moved with the sights. In this case I would suggest a target without rings would be just as good so long as the sizes are relative to the distance to keep the "aim picture". Just my opinion. Ch...

Hammerli 152 instructions

I own a Hammerli 152 and I have a copy of the manual on disk that was sent to me by another poster some time ago. The problem is I have moved my house and a lot of my stuff is still in boxes. Let me know if you still need a copy and I will try and find what box it is in - famous last words. Cheers f...
