1807 bolt reassembly

When I removed the end cap, I did not count how many turns I made...I just screwed it off. When I go to reassemble, I any reason I don't just screw it back on until finger snug? I did so and dry-fired on spent brass, everything seems fine. I'm just wondering if I'm supposed to back off a turn or two...

Is there such a thing? And is it advisable?

I've made and sold about 100 bloop tubes and tuner tubes. The vast majority of girls who buy my regular tube opt for the 10" version, with 8" being next most popular. For guys, it is more 12" than anything else. It really is personal preference. and how much extra weight you are comf...

What order do you shoot the bulls in? Does this happen when you shoot with a scope? I shoot the bulls in a U shape. Starting on the left hand side. Unless I am shooting the A50 target, then I shoot down both (kinda like 2 100 yard targets right next to each other) Matt Top row then bottom row. Your...

The only other thing I can think of is glare off the closer targets.

Not sure, it's a nra approved match with nra targets, I assume they are scaled but I will have to look into that.

Roughly, the 100 yd lower is probably lower than the 50 lower row, but height does not seem to be the problem.

Good insight, perhaps I am not as diligent about finding the npa each target change at 50....except often my 1st is worst and my 4th is best.

Why is my 100 yard shooting better than 50 yd and 50 m?

At my local nra smallbore match, I typically shoot really well at 100 yards, 99-99.5%, but my 50 yards and 50 meter work is closer to 96-97%.

Any ideas?

If nothing else his feet will get dirty. I wear breathable "water shoes" or "pool shoes", sort of a thin soled shoe with an all mesh top, very comfortable here in hot Florida. That is the other issue, I feel much cooler without shoes and socks on during a hot day. I can wear them...

It's normally a result of the sling cutting off or reducing the blood flow to the hand. The key is to reduce it so that you can shoot longer in more comfort. I'd check the sling tension - it's quite common for people to have the sling too tight - there's a fine line between just right, and too much...

One likely reason would be if you are holding the fore end in the palm of your hand. This twists the wrist down, causing pain and tingling. Solution is to rest the fore end on the meaty base of the thumb. Usually have to rotate your hand slightly more under the stock. It is indeed in my palm. I hav...

Support hand circulation cut off in prone...why?

I'm not good at anatomy...not sure why my support hand is going numb from its circulation being cut off in prone after 10 minutes like clockwork. I am guessing it is from leaning on that elbow somehow as the most likely culprit. I don't think its the sling on my upper arm, because its primarily the ...
