The large reg fee is because it is at the Sydney Olympic range. Always is when at that range for any comp there unfortunately.

You probably shouldn't go for red flags. We have had people here who have difficulty distinguishing between the flags and the grass behind it with red flags due to those shooters being red-green colour-blind.

Alot of people here just have two wooden blocks, 1 for each foot. 1 side if flat, other is rounded. Some people put a little rubber or something on the bottom to stop them from slipping sideways... I need to do that. Picture below:

New Anschutz Action?

I have heard rumblings of a new Anschutz action coming out soon. Have been told that it will have a very high-end price like the Bleiker and a screw-in (threaded) barrel for easier barrel swapping.

Anyone have any more info about this or pictures?

I also have ammo which look like JeffinTX describes and am wondering if it will be safe to put through my barrel. I have about 1000 rounds of Tenex from about 5 years ago and about 500 rounds of Match Plus from the same time. Here are some pictures. They still feel waxy but only slightly, nowhere ne...

I assume this is in relation to electronic target systems. In a case like stated above does anyone know how they would prove or disprove that it was a sensor malfunction?

Also I have a question. Is it better to have the lens close to your eye or close to the rear sight? Most rifle shooters shoot with the lens just behind the rear sight, quite a distance from the eye. What is the reason for this? The MEC catalogue contradicts this and says to have the lens very close,...

Or is the difference that much that I should save up to get the MECs?

Gehmann shooting frames

Has anyone had much experience with Gehmann frames? I am having a difficult time choosing between them and Knoblochs. Unfortunately there is nowhere near where I can try them out, I can only go off what I can see from the pics and a couple of peoples' opinions. Was going to go with MEC frames but th...

I believe you also must pack the bolt (for smallbore rifle) in a separate case from the rifle... if I am remembering correctly.

I really want to get this rifle, but it is damn expensive. I am still tossing and turning over whether to get it. On one hand it is pretty much exactly what I want and I will have it for a long time. On the other, I can get a FWB and mod it to be nearly exactly what I want and would still have enoug...

I am looking seriously at getting this rifle. They have it as a packaged rifle now with their new butt plates they have developed: http://www.gruenelshop.ch/ac_home.php?language=en&sid=1206274845000000402&lay=2&content=6 Problem is, a change of barrel is not an option with the package fr...

And by the way. I am a grown adult. I am not trolling but I knew my vews on gun laws (which are quite different to a lot of gun owners) would get a rise out of people on here. I know how emotional people can get about their guns, especially in the US. It's late, I'm bored.... sorry if it has made an...

Can none of your seriously say that there is one thing wrong with the gun laws in the US? That nothing is even remotely too lax? I mean, an example I can think of is a friend of mine in the US who has a gun just sitting in a draw in her bed side table. That is just mind boggling to me, anyone can ge...

Like I said. I am not for any kind of full ban on all guns. I just see no reason for civilians to have these crazy military weapons. For civilians to have access to these weapons, it certainly doesn't make it harder for criminals to get a hold of them does it? If the weapons are somewhere that someo...

I don't see a problem with a tightening of the laws in the US (not a ban). I don't really see why everyone and their grandma needs to be able to own an M16... just because. I'm a gun owner and I completely agree with laws here in the Aus that say you can only use weapons for club shooting or for hun...

Re: Prone guns

I completely agree with the above. A new shooter or a growing junior would be well served by the new adjustable guns. A new shooter will not know what the gun is supposed to fit like, and needs a year or two to figure it out. But when a shooter reaches expert or master level, my thoughts are that t...

Yeah it is great. Only thing I wish is that they would put cut up versions of the videos eg. shooter interviews, coach interviews, actual shooting all seperate files. I would like to watch all the events but the file size (which can't really be decreased without losing a lot of clarity) is too big a...
