Re: Scatt Trigger sensor

Thanks John for the advice. Ryan, I was having similar thoughts as you which is why I posted the question. If there's no discernible change in the trace pattern when the shot is released then I'd see that as there are no problems with the triggering action. If the shot then lands away from the cente...

Scatt Trigger sensor

Hi All,
I wondering if the cost of adding the trigger sensor to a scatt is worth the additional information it gives?

Appreciate you thoughts!

I think the KK500 has a 6 o'clock firing pin. My memory's a little hazy though so I could be wrong.

Re: Anschutz Match 54.30 The Evolution...

In one of Calfee's many ramblings, he stated the improvement was around 3% over the 12 o'clock configuration. This is in the white noise region of measurable performance with rimfire ammunition. In other writings by Calfee, he discounted the benefits of another potential process that ironically he ...

Re: Scatt trace feedback

Hi Guy,
I appreciate the feedback on the numbers. One of the missing bits of information I have is a benchmark for these values.

However, your response does cause me to question whether the Scatt is set-up and working correctly. Is there a way to validate the Scatt results?

Thanks again.

Re: Scatt trace feedback

Peter, out of interest, what is your F-coefficient set to. Also, is this a USB SCATT or an MX02? We believe that we are seeing traces with the MX02 that are about 50% longer than with the USB version... anyone else? Regards, Ken. Hi Ken, F-coefficient set at 40 and I'm using a USB SCATT. I did test...

Re: Scatt trace feedback

I know what you saying. You've great assistance already. I'll "put together" a clean file over the weekend. I could post a mp4 of the trace but targettalk won't let me attach the file due to it's type and the image hosting service I use only hosts image files which is why I created the tim...

Re: Scatt trace feedback

mtncwru, thanks for the offer. I'm hesitant to post one of my scatt files as to date I primarily use the scatt for testing various options so I don't have a file where things are consistent which makes it hard for remote analysis. I found the parameter to show the steadiness in 10.5 and when I turne...

Re: Does anyone know of any barrel block prone stocks

I know of that action. One approach is to get an adapter made like the Anschutz square to round action adapter for the Omark, then you can use a precise stock. http://ahg.anschuetz-sport.com/index.php5?menu=177&sprache=1&seite=335&produktID=1010&PHPSESSID=562bc9bd8e52dd191a458d6b908e...

Re: Does anyone know of any barrel block prone stocks

I shoot both and I think you will find it more common in the colder climates where they shoot fullbore in summer and smallbore indoors in winter when it too cold outside. Often they have two rifles with the same or similar stock geometry. Tube stocks may be one option as there are available for both...

Scatt trace feedback

Hi all, I would like some feedback on my scatt trace. I know my position was sinking a little and a bit off center but was focusing on size of trace. http://s5.postimg.org/x7p5vd13r/Scatt_trace_sequence.jpg I spent some time trying to reduce my trace size to keep it in the x ring and couldn't get it...

Re: Does anyone know of any barrel block prone stocks

I would like to make both my small bore rifle and my fullbore (known to some of you as a palma rifle) adjustable. id like to get them as similar to shooting each other as possible. by the time i get 2 sets of everything and add my time in it would probably be cheaper to buy a new stock. but then i ...

Re: anschutz rear sight question

...If the shot is left I want to turn the screw to move it to the right (ie counter clockwise). It's more complicated to write then visualise! except thats not how it works... cranked the windage knob counter clockwise and the sight moved left... The sight will move left but the shot will move right.

Re: anschutz rear sight question

The way I think of it with European sights is to think of the sight knobs as a screw. If the shot is high I want to turn the screw to reduce the height of the screw (ie clockwise). If the shot is left I want to turn the screw to move it to the right (ie counter clockwise). It's more complicated to w...

Re: Duplex frustration

I had the same question about the screws. What I eventually worked out was that they are used to lock the x-y adjustment. If you look carefully you can see two holes with threads. I haven't bothered to install them. I brought the front inserts in .2 increments to work out which worked best, the inse...

As this is for long range practice I would suggest getting the same stock as your long range stock.
