Re: Pardini K60 Cylinder O-Rings?

I have a K60 and when I was looking for replacement seals I had a hard time finding them. I finally got them from Tim McMurray at: http://www.mac1airgun.com/ . He was very helpful and reasonable. I don't have the size handy but that is where I got them.

Dry Firing a Marvel conversion

I insert a yellow #4 (I think) dry wall anchor in the chamber and then as I close the action I also place a piece of a rubber band shaped like this. ( hopefully, see attached jpg) I bought a pack large rubber bands at Staples. Get 2-3 dry Fire protectors out of each. Using the rubber band keeps the ...

Grip cross reference

I am wondering is the grip from a Pardini K60 will fit other model air pistols?
If they will, which ones or is there a reference document that some one can refer me to.

Time between strings on Gallery match.

I am not the most experienced RO but have been calling our winter gallery matches for three years. After time has ended for the first string of timed or rapid I always ask: "Are there any saved rounds or alibis?" you need to ask so it can be noted and/or dealt with. If there are no saved r...

Lower assembly for a Marvel #1 conversion kit ?

I have to second Greg's comment on having a smith that is Bullseye knowledgeable build your lower. I had one who was NOT a BE smith build a lower for me about 6 years ago, because I was inexperienced, he was local, the turn around time was quick, he built very nice quality carry guns and because I d...

Cold Weather Rifles

Back at the time that biathlon was converting from center fire to rim fire, Dieter Anschutz did testing of a number of barrels they were developing for the .22 cal. biathlon rifles. This testing took place at the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory in Lyme NH. He called in Creighton Aud...

Jacket Alterations

A second on Mobarron's reply. I have a leather shop (coats, vest, handbags etc.) near me here in southern Vermont. The woman who owns it has done alterations on several of our smallbore team members jackets. Leather shops that actually make their products have machines beefy enough to handle a shoot...

I truly believe in the 100:1. I spent one season training FP and shot ~60 rounds as I prepared for a big match the rest of the time was very focused 20 mins sessions dry firing working a specific goals each time mostly around the basics. End result was a personal record of 547 and second place in t...

I notice that Pardini is not in the list at all. Is that because they have not made a Free pistol model for that long or the ones they have made were just were not as competitive as those makes that have won?

My .22 (Marvel on 1911 frame) I run at 3.5lb The WadGun at 3.5-3.7lb. The BallGun at 4.25lb .22 and .38 Revolver at 2.75lb. For me, having the Marvel trigger at 3.5 both helps my .45 shooting but I think helps my .22 shooting. Again, just me, when using the lighter trigger I found I was hesitant to ...

Pardini K60

I bought the main o-ring that goes in the cylinder from Mac-1 in California quite reasonably. Tim McMurry is apparently well versed in CO2. A reseal kit is around 40.00 and gives you just one (1) of the large tank seals, which I think is the most common to go. I think I paid $10 for four of the seal...

Re: Sub-six sight picture consistency?

I agree that peeking at the bull will give you the vertical and sometimes "yipped" horizontal stringing. It is a tough habit to break. Dry firing against a blank white wall helps to train the eye to stay on the front sight. Something I did this weekend when I caught myself "peeking&qu...

DR Loads

Last week I was testing a variety of charges with my cast 158gr SWC and WST powder at 50yds from the bench. 3.3gr was the highest I tested and it shot easily within the ten ring. Sort of surprisingly 2.8 of WST shot almost as good, but the groups opened up with 2.9, 3.0 and 3.1WST, but tightened bac...

Ladies BE pistols

Two weeks ago I shot two firing points down from a woman who was perhaps in her seventies, 5' tall if she was lucky an perhaps 100 lbs. She shot her .45 in the CF and .45 portion and shot quite well considering she was coming back from a 2 year layoff. The size or gender of the shooter is not the mo...

S&W 41 Zero

If you have a good 25yd zero, you probably don't need to make any change for 50 yds as long as you are using the same sight picture (center or 6 o'clock, or sub-six) Some times I need to make a couple of clicks up for 50 but not usually.

REplacing Pardini Barrel

As Greg has illustrated both verbally and optically, throat erosion in .22s happens. I once took a Winchester 52 that I considering buying, to Creighton Audette (rifle builder extraordinaire) in Springfield VT. Upon inspecting it for me, he noted a small crescent moon of throat erosion as shown in G...

Newbie, training without a coat.

I want to second Rob's suggestion about working with an experienced coach if you can. I, like most of the shooters I have encountered in Highpower and in Smallbore are self taught. We muddle through gleaning bits of information as we can from what sources we encounter. A few years ago I was at Camp ...

Keeper, I have a 6" K22 and I happen to have an 8 3/8" Model 17 that my father gave me. Personally I find the longer barrel to be very unwieldy and overly nose heavy. I don't see the longer sight radius to be a plus at all. I have actually been thinking of either shortening the 8+" ba...

Please explain why this happens?

Greg's comments are exactly on the money. It is very hard for most of us to learn to abort the shot and put the pistol down when it does break in accordance with our shot plan. I have learned the hard way that the thought: "If I hold on just a little longer, I can do this" is the surest ro...
