Re: ISSF Olympic events
I had forgotten that there were World Champs for many of the disciplines, but wouldn't it be nice if all the non-Olympic shooting areas could be held at one time in various locations like the OG. Don in Oregon

ISSF Olympic events
I have already jumped on the ISSF and IOC for their actions. But, I wanted to mention that several years ago, a group in Canada wanted to get the World Shooting Federation going and I was part of it for awhile. We even had a congress meeting in Budapest. But, it never got off the ground and got set ...

Re: diaphragm breathing or chest breathing
I read a book of Chinese health info once that said that stomach breathing was more relaxing than lung or chest breathing. I have used that method since and it helps to keep calm while shooting. You might try it. Don in Oregon

Re: How can I train when my rifle feels heavy
First off, what is a beam rifle? As for feeling heavy, it seems you need to build your muscles more and do some exercises. That would help a lot. Or, get a lighter rifle. Just my 2 cents worth. Don in Oregon

Great music. I love the oldies when people dressed up, sang the song and moved a little and had no fireworks, etc. You could also understand the words!!!! Don in Oregon

Nope. The best thing to do is to just try to stand as still as you can for a few minutes at a time until you can get the movement as little as possible. Don in Oregon

Another thing you might do and I have done is to go to your local PBS station and ask them if they could do a series of programs on the various areas of the shooting sports with the local clubs, etc. My PBS folks are talking about it and I have had a face to face with them but nothing is for sure ye...

Sure. Check with the NRA of England and they should be able to hook you up with a local club. There is all kinds of shooting sports going on in England, despite their dumb laws. Do some more digging around and see what you can find. Don

Re: Online Air Pistol Competitions
I want to remind you folks that I run a postal league that is not online. Score for 20-shot rifle or pistol are due every two weeks for 8 rounds. There are awards at the end for the high 6 scores you submit. It is all done by email or USPS. Interested? I will need a name and mailing address to get t...

Several years ago The World Shooting Assn was being talked about to include non-Olympic style shooting. I was involved for awhile and we had a congress in Budapest one year, but nothing really came of it. Don in Oregon

I am really sorry for you. To travel that distance and then not have you count in the end. But, these pistols are not weapons. As for the trigger, I have no idea what happened, but I would have insisted that the control folks check it again in a few minutes. That should not happen to anyone. Good lu...

Re: How soon is too soon with 5m BB?
The Jaycees have a bb-gun program that is great and will lead into other areas as they get older. Check them out locally. Also, try to get him into a good junior club with some good coaches and get them into competition as soon as they and you think they can handle it. Welcome into the sport and hav...

Hi: I have posted this info before, but it seems that I need to again. I have the largest library of shooting sports info in private hands in the country, and it is available to anyone, anywhere. If you want to see what is in there and how to see some of it, I will need a name and mailing address. I...
