Re: Biathlon in NW Oregon, SW Washington?
Hi: I did a search and found this: Bend Biathlon Club, Rex Allison, 18790 Hakamore Dr, Bend, OR 97701, email: dawnall1@juno.com. Might try him and see what he knows. When UI was in the Guard, we ran 2-3 biathlon events at Bachelor every winter, but I don't think they do now. Don n Beaverton

Re: Electronic Scoring Systems for Short Shooters HELP!?!
No to your questions. Not allowed in a match. The only thing you and she can do is to adjust the butt plate so that the muzzle is pointing higher than usual and get some practice at the competition height. Good luck but keep her going and keep her interested. She will overcome. Don in Oregon

Re: Pellet Testing... AGAIN!
I agree. Cost has to be figured into the accuracy of .22 or .177 ammo. I shot .22 with some lower cost stuff that did just as well in my opinion at least for me. No sense spending a lot of $$ for little gain. Just my opinion. Don in Oregon

Re: Hey, Gerard, you'll love this!
Also, several years ago, England said that pistols under a certain length were not legal anymore. Guess what, people just welded ears with screw holes to allow them to screw long rods into the holes to make the gun long enough to pass. Also, every country and island around advertised that they could...

Re: Hey, Gerard, you'll love this!
I keep telling people that this is what the anti's want to happen eventually. They want to be able to take all guns away from everyone for any reason. We can not allow this to happen. That is why I am keeping my M-1 and a can of ammo for the revolution when or if it comes. I am glad that the reporte...

Re: Sad news
Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I appreciate it. I went to see his mom today and she was crying most of the time. I do hope they catch the bastard She wants to douse him with gas and toss a match on him. All I want to do is to put a couple of hollow-point .22's in his heart. Oh well. Thanks again...

I wanted to let ll of you know that my grandson Jason was shot and killed Friday night in Corvallis, OR outside a Shari's that he had just finished eating at. A woman was injured but not seriously. He was only 29 and had two little girls with his fiance. It hit me pretty hard. He had been having pro...

Re: Postal competitions?
My air gun postal is pretty simple. It is set up for the shooter to send in scores from 20-shots every two weeks for 8 rounds. The high 6 scores figure into your final average and standings. I have several catagories for people and you win an award for placing in your group. Everyone also gets 2 dec...

Re: Hello, new member in Australia
Hi: Welcome to this great sport. Because of my interest, I have spent time in 20 countries, all but 9 states and 4 provinces in Canada. I have really enjoyed myself and know people all over the place. I wanted to let you know that I have the largest library of shooting sports info in private hands i...

Re: Opinions on best smallbore rifle
One thing you might try is to look around to see if there any matches or clubs in your area that use the ISSF gear and go check them out and see if you can try some of the members rifles. Tell them your story and see if they can help. Shooters usually do help where they can. Check USA Shooting for m...

In the first place, the pistol is not a weapon. Please do not refer to it that way. It is a target pistol, period.

Re: Offhand Advice Request
Hi: Sounds typical to me. Many people have a sideways sway. Check to see if the feet are shoulder width apart and parallel to each other. I have seen some girls/women who spread their feet out more than shoulder width that seems to work well, too. She might have trouble with her balance as well. Try...

I have attended almost all of the WMG's except for the first one and Italy and have had a good time every time. I also do some sightseeing and running around the area so that may help. Everyone I have competed with in rifle has done a good job and there have been no problems. i have won several meda...

Re: Anyone shoot in their house?
I have shot everything from air gun to 40mm AAA guns since 1955 and I have not had any problems that I know of. And, I don't usually wash my hands either. Most of what you hear about "dangers" is hooey anyway. Just shoot and don't worry about it. Don in Oregon

I got it too. We all!!!! need to email them and bug them about including rifle/pistol. I have sent them several already, but it would help if all of you out there told them to have rifle/pistol as well. Aukland is a nice place as is NZ and I would love to go down there again, but not for scatter-gun...
