You're right.
I've discovered the same with the 5-shot Steyr LP50.
Some pellets leave more lead residue and an air pistol, too, should be cleaned during the season.
This can affect the precision quite a lot.
I recommed pulling a cleaning thread through the barrel.

Re: Air Pistol selection
I've had the same thoughts. My first piece of advice: Try out various pistols. The clubs likely will have a variety and of course the shooters have different models. Some dealers have many models on stock. It is very much a matter of personal preference and "feel" of the various guns rathe...

Re: New Morini Air Pistol - CM200 EI
I'll answer my own question.
Since I took delivery of the CM200El yesterday, I took it to the range today.
The short cylinder weighs a mere 10g less than the long one.

Re: HN Match Green .177 leadfree pellets
Yes, but not systematically. Note they are very light @ 0,34g. Lead pellets are +/- 0,5g. The group consistently but in my gun not as well as the heavy 0,525g lead pellets. However, your gun may be different. Since they are so light and current pistols obviously are rifled for ca. 0,5g pellets, adju...

Re: New Morini Air Pistol - CM200 EI
Update to my own question. The weight difference of a Pardini K2S Air short/long air tube is 42g.
The long is 206g and the short one 164g.
Interesting if 40mm of barrel only weighs 10g.
Little it may be but it is at the very tip of the gun and thus its effect is quite significant.

Re: New Morini Air Pistol - CM200 EI
Excellent forum and the BEST info regarding the CM200! What is the weight of the CM200 air cylinder? And that of the 162? And that of the 162 short? Is there a weight difference between the electronic and analogue gauge cylinders? If so, how much? Though the CM162 short is 40mm shorter than the full...

Re: Pardini K12
The weight of the tubes has changed? Didn't know that! Can anyone inform me as to the weight difference? This is a major consideration for me. I now shoot the K2S Air, and I'm borrowing a friend's K12 Absorber. The K12 weights about 60 grams more which also makes it heavier than the factory specific...

Re: S&W revolvers
Follow through is critical. You must hold the revolver on target until the bullet leaves the barrel. This is nothing new. SPOT ON!!!!!!!!!! You wouldn't believe how much the scores of my rapid fire shooting improved when I started to focus on follow-through. Good advice again as is usual on this fo...

Air cylinder weights?
Hi,
Does anyone have the cylinder weights of the Steyr LP2 (standard and compact), and Morini CM162 (long and short cylinder), please?
I take it the short cylinder of the Morini will fit the full length pistol?
How many shots do you get out of a short air cylinder?

Fiocchi ST 2000?
Hi, I was attending a shooting competition (don't ask about the results! I did well as referee, though.) and run into an old shooting buddy. He had a Fiocchi ST 2000 pistol. Any info on this pistol: shootability, reliabilty, other experiences? According to my friend, it's essentially the predecessor...

Laszlo (sp?) Antal's book - cannot recollect the name. Found it on Amazon.com, do a search. Also Paul Leatherdale's book is good. Again, cannot recollect the name of the book. Found it in a book shop in London. This is the book that brought me back to pistol shooting after an almost 10 year break! A...

Welcome to the club!!!!!!!!!!! I have had this problem for about 20 years..... To the point: Air pistol - much as I hate it, last winter season's AP training gained me 280 with centerfire pistol last week. This summer is the first summer ever that I have been scoring above 270 in slow series (30 sho...

Jeepers, but this is THE best thread ever! I bet that this is one of the most common problems of even very experienced shooters. This season has been particularly bad for me. Example: in standard pistol, my training scores are about 530 (yea, nothing to brag about, but still) - in the last competiti...
