Re: Pellets for a newbie

The $3 price is for the test pack the 500 pellet tin is over $15. Call Neal Stepp at International Shooters Service, and order 500 pellet tins of RWS Basics. They are about $5 a tin, and shoot extremely well. The college team I help coach has used them for over a decade in a wide range of pistols. ...

Re: Walther KK500 Torque Values

I asked the same question of Walter, and was told not to exceed 4.0 Nm.

Re: Camp Perry - Gun Smithing

The last time I talked to the folks at Anschutz NA, they told me they weren’t going to be at Perry, but they recommended a visit with Creedmoor Armory. At least two of their folks have been to Anschutz armorer classes, and a trained/equipped to help with issues such as this.

Thanks for posting this. I wish the same person(s) that wrote this wrote the English instructions. I still don't think I'm getting 100 % out of my unit due to the confusing instructions.

I'm not sure the Fortner action rifles were expected to be more than Biathlon rifles, with a very different accuracy requirement. I'm anxious to hear how a new barrel shoots. Border barrels are highly regarded, and hard to get on "this side of the pond" - I would suggest getting one of the...

Dry firing Anschutz 2007/2013?

I've been told that its OK to dryfire my 2007/2013 without a fired case, dryfire plug etc. Is this true?

Thanks in Advance!

Your trigger has just gotten out of adjustment. Pilk has the owners manual with instructions on how to fix this problem. The issue is specifically mentioned in the manual.

On the other hand, the performance is not even remotely close to a PCP AP. The FPS difference is huge.[/quote]

I have a P1 in .177 that I shoot almost every day at 18 feet. Try shooting at the low power setting; I've gotten best accuracy with the 7.0 gr. RWS Meisterkugeln (sp?) Pellets.

The high power setting shoots considerably higher in my pistol, so make sure you have ample backstop!

Southpaw looking for a Fortner . . .

I'm interested in the competing in the Summer Biathlon event, but shoot off the "other" shoulder. If anyone has an under/unsued LH Fortner for sale, or knows of one, please give me a shout.

Thanks in advance-

Anschutz 2013 for Prone Shooting

I just purchased a 2013 that I'm trying to set up for prone shooting. Can someone tell me what the preferred mount/ring setup is for a Leupold BR type scope? I'm also curious about the iron sight setup. I realize my old 54 sights won't fit. . . the "bloop tube" has a single dovetail milled...

LH Newbie to Air Rifle -

I'm thinking about taking up air rifle shooting, and am about "sold" on the FWB 700. The AL stock seems to be the current favorite. Is it worth the cost difference over the laminate stock? Is there anyone in the Northern VA area that has one I could look at? Better yet are there LH shooter...
