Tom, you made it clear that the problem is corrosion. Could you tell us what corrosion you have found and what caused it in the aluminum cylinders we are talking about here? I can see the problem in steel, but not aluminum and stainless. How many or what percentage of aluminum cylinders have had a ...

Any word on whether the M Werks stock will take a standard 54 action and not just the 20xx series?

I'll be very interested to see where the price point ends up, given that the new Anschutz stock is reportedly going to be priced like the old ones.

There are a million ways to skin a cat, and about twice as many ways to hold an air rifle. If you're too high with a fist, work with whatever's comfortable and gives positive results.

I certainly hope they can pull it together at the end of the season. I always enjoyed shooting against them and the rest of the WIRC conference.

It's hard to tell from the pictures as the angle looks far more exaggerated in the first pic than the second.

The first thing I noticed was how far up you are on the stock. Have you played with moving your buttplate back and getting that shoulder to drop some?

Back in CT, the parents would sign a release form which more or less documented that they had the rifle in their possession. That was all there was to it, and this was through the Police Athletic League.

As soon as you can afford it. While the old Feinwerkbau was as accurate as anything out there, you just can't touch the CA's. In a sport that is about consistency and repeatibility, nothing is worse than having to break your position on every shot. At a collegiate level, it was inconvenient and tiri...

My partner and I finished third in the Whistler Boy match at Camp Perry years back. We basically did it for the payout and the free Eley ammo. We never shot with those rifles before, LOADED up on iced tea, cocoa, and doughnuts to try to stay away for it, and I noticed about halfway through the match...

I'd get in touch with Erin Gestyl and the gang over in Palmyra. Plenty of top notch shooters coming out of there including Olympian Jamie Beyerle. Outstanding coaching and environment, but laid back and friendly to boot!

You shouldn't have much of a need for a hook in prone. If you do want one, check with ESP (Earnest Shooting Products).

I'd be surprised, since rifles have gone the complete opposite direction to the tune of $1000 USD or so in the past couple of months.

Great idea by War Wagon, BUT write down a positive instead of a negative. "I will let the shot go off by itself", or "I will only shoot good shots" Believe it or not, that WAS my positive message. It was reaffirming sound practice, as opposed to something like "I won't shoo...

Are you planning on buying just one, or multiple hooks for each position? I think the Gemini hook is the best option if you can have multiple, but is too complex to try and reposition. The MEC I feel offers the best balance between adjustability and ease of reconfiguration/repeatability during a mat...

My experience is 10,000 rounds is short. I put at least 15,000 rounds through a used Winchester 52 and it was still shooting inside Xs at 100 yards when I was stupid enough to waste dough and replace the barrel. I forget if it was a barrel maker or a gunsmith, however, I was told more .22 rimfire b...

I used to keep a separate page in my notebook, in which I only wrote "I will not pull the trigger until I'm ready." Every time I shot a bad shot in practice, I would break position, go over to my equipment bag, write this down, and go get back into position. You soon refuse to shoot a bad ...
