April 1 is the date published on the CMP web site for opening their online registration, but since they don't increase their prices it will not be a factor. A few years ago I signed up for a CMP match during in processing for the same amount as it was online.

Camp Perry Entry Fees 2016
Registration for pistol phase at Camp Perry 2016 is open and if you are going I recommend you do it sooner rather than later since the match entry fees will go up before long. https://competitions.nra.org/campperrysignup/ The program shows (pages 37-38) and I confirmed with the NRA office the prices...

Re: Info for new prescription for shooting glasses
Since that original paper Dr Wong has added quite a few other things to his writings on eye care for shooters. Might be of interest to check them out and see if anything helps. If you are anywhere in the San Francisco area, or can get there, consider a trip to his office to have him do the exam. www...

Brian told me he expects to be able to shoot in matches by this fall. He is just being cautious to avoid any long term problems.

Re: Ladies BE pistols
A lady friend of mine is petite, smaller hands, and interested in BE but we were wondering what pistols are available for someone like her, not only 22 but also in the 45 ACP category? Are there a lot of smaller ladies competing in BE, by the way? Thanks in advance! A 1911 with a Marvel conversion ...

Thanks for the info, my experience is quite dated. Now for the next basic question, I obviously have been looking at Larrys guns and the online gun auctions. Other than matches where else are good used bullseye guns available like the Pardini? I'm on a tight budget obviously The Duke Another good p...

BULLSEYE-L moved from lava lists to Gooogle groups. If you had it bookmarked as a lava list the link has been broken. Just Google Bullseye-L again and follow the Google group. Actually that is just the archives on Google, the list itself is still run out of the same network as before. It was just d...

Bullseye-L being fixed
I contacted the list owner and demonstrated to him the list was down (he is no longer a bullseye shooter and doesn't monitor it closely) so he left a message for tech support a little while ago. We should have the list back up before long which most likely will mean dozens of messages along the line...

Re: 4 moa vs. 2 moa
As mentioned it is one of those personal preference things but quite a few of us find that a little larger dot results in less perceived movement on the target and thus makes trigger control easier. A smaller dot just seems to move around more, looks like it anyway, and it becomes more difficult to ...

USMC Pistol Team Clinic
The USMC Pistol Team out of Quantico will be coming to the Durham Pistol & Rifle Club ( www.dprc.org ) in Haw River, NC the weekend of October 2nd - 3rd for a full two day bullseye pistol clinic! I have been talking with them since they were here for our match in May about the possibility of hol...

Re: Marvel Magazines
This question is for those who shoot the Marvel conversion. Which are the best magazines, regarding functioning and durability? There is quite a cost difference between the two types offered. Those two being metal and poly. I've had good luck with the metal mags for years now. Any problems they had...

Re: ammo testing 22lr
New bullseye shooters often get caught up in lots of testing of ammo and other equipment trying to come up with the perfect combinations when much of that time would have been better invested in training. It is important to come up with a gun / ammo combination that works well but as you found the H...

Thanks for the timely replies. The advice so far is what I'm thinking as well. I've shot quite a few .22s now including a 1911 style one, several rugers, a smith and wesson, and a have handled some others. I really like the buckmarks grip and have many many rounds through my current one so I am use...

There is one question you need to ask yourself. Are you a bullseye shooter that also does service pistol, or are you a service pistol shooter that also does bullseye? A friend of mine decided he wanted to be a Service Pistol shooter and that Bullseye would be a distraction. The result is/was that h...
