You can use Clarence's load with 4.8 of WSF as well. That powder is easy to get, and it shoots just like the VV powders.

I agree with Dan. Irons are a great way to go for as long as you can.

Many of the records that still stand were fired with irons.

I have had good luck with the Berettas. I am 8 points away from Distinguished. Dave Salyer builds a very accurate Beretta with only a replacement barrel. Mine will shoot very high scores at 50. I just need to continue to improve at rapid fire. The gun is entirely capable though. I have thousands of ...

Thanks for the responses. These are by far the best I have received. I posted this question in a number of places.

Evidently, everyone has really good eyes, they never shoot irons, or no one else knows either.

Iron sights and How to Use Them (Is there an eye doctor in t

Iron sights are very simple. But, most people struggle with them. We know that the focus should be on the front sight. While keeping the sights aligned, break the shot smoothly in the aiming area. If you do that correctly, you get a good result and generally a good score. If you don't have perfect v...

Thanks, Paul. That's exactly what I wanted to hear. On Larry's, I found a listing of each of those sizes. Are there others, or is the one currently on your gun a duplicate?

Where in NC are you located?

Open Sights and Lighting

One of the ranges where I shoot has really difficult lighting conditions. The 50 yard targets are really dark. The 25 yard targets are really bright. Depending on which point you get, you may have bright light directly on the sights. On other points, you may have almost no light at all. I have a pai...

I wound up going with a KKM because of the fantastic results I have gotten in my M9.

Immediately, I saw a huge improvement in accuracy. The KKM is working great.

I have had good luck with 5.2 of VV N320. 4.8 HTG, 4.6 BE, 4.8 WST, etc. all work well. I have been using Zero's 230. I have used precision delta for 9mm hardball. They work great for that.

Benelli MP95e Front Sight Question

I recently acquired two Benelli pistols. One is a .32 swl and the other is a .22. It appears that the front sights are different. Were there two series of sights? One of the guns has the sight in place. The other gun is missing the sight, and they don't interchange.
