Theories abound about how tuning really works, but nobody has proven a thing. Maybe never will. Just go over to some of the rimfire benchrest forums and read the arguments either way to your hearts content. All I know is it works and the why doesn't really concern me too much. I'm way more of a pra...

Jeffrey, You talk about a tuner under the action, is that what the knurled nut just in front of the trigger gaurd is for? Once you get your final design how you want it, I think you would be able to sell quite a lot of these stocks. Barney Barney, You are correct in that the knob just in front of t...

Barney, The stock is a barrel clamp type. I build the stock with an integrated tuner in the stock that works off the action and requires the action to be free floated. The only change I am making from my previous generation stock is the butt and cheek piece section. I was fitting a rifle to a shoote...

Mark, Your correct in that the picture is of the prototype. The cheek actually has more height adjustment then the the Anschutz has and over twice the left and right adjustment they have. As you can see that odd ball scope I use is much higher than a normal scope and I still have more height adjustm...

Am I reading the price right at approximately $2500 without shipping and duty to the US? I don't consider a laminate stock to be made out of wood. After working on several I have come to the conclusion they are made mostly out of glue. I don't know if they impregnate the wood with glue but it just d...

Anschutz Precise weight
Does anyone have the weight of the new Anschutz Precise stock ready to shoot but without the barreled action in place.

Air rifle for practice
Would the Anschutz 8002 air rifle be the best choice for practice if your main small-bore rifle is an Anschutz 2013? I only shoot prone and visually the 8002 looks comparable to my 2013.
Thanks,
Jeffrey

I have replaced two drop in barrels in the last several months and both had poorly cut tenons and extractor cuts in them. All Anschutz 2013 receivers are not the same for bore size and a good fit is important to how the barrel will shoot. One of the drop in barrels required 30 inch pounds of torque ...

Team Eley
I purchased a case of Team Eley and after 1500 rounds I find it to be very stable at 50 and 100 yards. It performs slightly better in my rifle than SK Match but I think it could be only because of the EPS bullet shape. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in local matches. At the time I think it was just o...

Schmid-Alustock
Can anyone make a recomendation regarding a Bleiker mounted in the Schmid-Alustock stock having the two O'ring mounts. Does this mounting system give a definate advantage to accuracy.

Barrel mount
I was attempting to devise a method of indexing my barrel radially to it's optimum position for accuracy. I began buy mounting the barrelled action using a barrel mounting block just ahead of the receiver in a test stock. I was disturbed with the result as the group size and shape were erratic. I st...

Action tuning
I have been working on a project and ran across your threads in this forum that parallels the issues I have been working on. I am looking for some advice. I started my project with the intent to index a barrel. Barrel indexing has been thoroughly discussed in the Smallbore Journal on the Delphi foru...
