Try making sure your left elbow is not TOO far under the rifle (for a righty) . Get it positioned just off the left side of the rifle to maintain the triangle base formed between the left and right elbow and the left hand.... ("get enough weight on right elbow")

I have used a 1/4 click warner rear sight on both the NRA and ISSF targets with no issues. My sight radius is likely 40+ inches with the bloop tube so the 1/4 click MOA is probably closer to 1/5 MOA..

I note that a couple of shooters in Rio were using the stock. They opted to use the barrel clamping method rather than using the action block. Not sure who they were. Dan Killough at Killough Sports can probably answer some of your questions.

All, I do not believe using a tuner will hurt you. My preference is to test lots at 50 and 100 with the tuner in place and set to "zero". I most recently did this in Mesa AZ at the Lapua test center. After testing a dozen or so lots I purchased the lot that shot the best test groups at 100...

Try a piece of thin leather with a good adhesive..absorbs sweat, no slippage, lasts a long time and cheap
