This is no adjustment screw. #16 according to the exploded view. Nail polish would be out of place there, I'm afraid.

A sequel to the story: it keeps on unscrewing. After three to five hundred of dry fire shots the screw in question is quite loose again. What may be wrong?

Steyr LP10: firing while unlocked

Hi,

I hope that Olympic Pistol includes airguns too. Somehow my pistol started discharging unlocked (dry fire position), as well as locked. What could it be? I'm sorry for an improper question, but there isn't a gunsmith readily available...

All the good advice already given. TOZ-35 and buy it Stateside. Spare parts is a good point too. Nobody mentioned the grip. With luck you can get/cut a good one, especially in Moscow.

That's a normal screw compressing a normal spring. The more compression, the faster the pellet. Hence, clockwise - faster. You could have tried... :) Warning: don't you ever try it whithout a chronograph!

On the availability of Steyr parts in Russia

Alexy we sell a lot of these triggers, they are no problem to get from Steyr. As many good connections as Steyr has with the Russian team, I would be suprised if you could not get this in Russia somehow Dear Sir, You are dead right about the good connections with the Russian team, but there are, sh...

No, there is no Steyr dealership in Russia to the extent you wouldn't beleive. And Steyr don't manufacture the item in question any more, to my knowledge. It's the question of some surplus.

Good ole Steyr pistol trigger

Hi, everybody, Can anybody suggest a way to get the subject? Not the ALU thing, not that twisty black trigger shoe thing, but the first variety of the Steyr trigger, LP1 and first issues of LP10 used to be equipped with? Not that I were not willing to pay, but living in Russia I have a bit of a trou...

Steyr LP10: #20 Set screw: to be lubricated or wiped dry?

Hi, everybody, First, thanks to Mr. Pilkington. He rescued me with #52 Hammer Spring. Now I am back in business. It is no small thing, to get hold of such trifles in Russua. Now the subject question. It seems to have been lubricated (has some black durt on it), but I am not quite sure, and the part ...

Will somebody tell me what is the official designation of the regulator and the gas valve for LP10? My only option is ordering them directly from Steyr Sportwaffen in which case I have to point them out formally, probably with the identification codes.

No. It was something which "is not known to fail dramatically", according to Mr. Pilkington. Some mechanism. Ought to be something which can be replaced by the owner, whithout gunsmith's services.

A spare something (?) for Steyr LP10

Hi, everybody,

A long, long time ago Mr. Pilkington advised LP10 (all steyr pistols) owners to have some spare assembly, which is good to have around when you travel to competitions abroad. I absolutely forgot what it is. Any ideas?

Yes, there is a lot to trigger adjustment in Steyr pistols. A science unto itself.

There is still no reply on whether or not I should lubricate or else wipe dry the hammer thing. :)

Lubrication of hammer LP10

It seems that we could use some official opinion on the subject. Mr. Pilkington's would do... :)
