Re: Morini 84E grip change, LH to RH

Hi 49er, Repich Sport has a youtube channel. There’s numerous videos about installing the trigger on the 84e, software, training ideas, etc. https://www.youtube.com/@repichsport/videos I still can’t get used to the image of the guy pointing his gun with one hand while holding, and looking at, his ph...

Re: Morini 84E grip change, LH to RH

While on the subject of Morini 84e circuit boards, has anybody been using the bluetooth circuit board available from Repich Sport? If the OP is looking to change their circuit board, maybe this option might be worth discussing here? https://www.repichsport.ch/product-page/electronic-bluetoothfor-162...

Re: Locking the elbow and coaching 10 meter.

[ IMG_0431.jpeg People do different stuff. Here’s Moritz Minder many years ago. He set a world record. Lotsa guys tried this, and realized it’s what worked for him. It’s more important to understand that a visual image does not necessarily indicate tension and stress at play. While it is mostly used...

Re: WTB: Matchguns MG-5

I’d suggest sending a pm to “J” and asking him. He has a thread running right now in the Olympic pistol section concerning the Sako Finnmaster Free Pistol. “J” has done a lot of research and testing of many free pistols. I suspect the MG-5 has passed through his hands. In any case, he is a very know...

Re: College Teams?

The list says “Rifle Teams” but the original post simply says “collegiate teams”. If you are including pistol, you might enquire with University of S. Carolina in Columbia, SC. They have (had?) a pistol team for a while. I know because they showed up at 2700 matches at Mid Carolina Rifle & Pisto...

Re: Morini 84E Case Replacement Options

Look for a used Doskocil “gun guard” pistol case. They were made in sizes for your use. They were very nice, having metal trim, hinges, keyed latches, plus a “briefcase style” swivelling handle. The interior is usually a robust “egg carton” foam. But, it can be changed if you like. PS: there’s a ver...

Re: Finnmaster versions?

I remember the Sako Finnmster! I saw one for sale with a dealer in New Orleans or Alabama. Serial number #180. It was dead mint with quite a package of goodies. And, it was left handed, a plus for me! It was also $4,000, so I passed. But I saved some pictures and attached them here. Maybe this helps...

WTS: Fitz UIT grip RH for S&W N-frame revolver

Offered for sale: unique UIT style (International) target grips. These grips fit S&W N-Frame square butt, which is unusual for UIT grips, most being made for K/L frame. These grips were made in the 1950s-1960s by John Paul “Fitz” Jones. They are sized R/H medium. They are made of fine grain ligh...

Re: Free pistol target source

Thank you for the replies! I am always grateful for your time and thoughts. I had heard there was an “issue” with granting the official NRA logo, but did not know details. As far as getting wet is concerned, that is surprising! I have shot in hard downpours (from a covered position!), and was amazed...

Re: Free pistol target source

I've generally had good luck with American brand targets when Krugers weren't available. I use their 50 yard free pistol targets, and they are fine. Thanks for the recommendation. I ordered a small lot of repair centers from Champions Choice to hold me over. It is surprising to me to see that the h...

Free pistol target source

Hi I’ve been shooting the wonderful Kruger B-17 free pistol targetd for a long time. But, nobody seems to sell them now, including the Kruger dealer in Atlanta. Anybody know a source for high quality 50 meter or 50 yd free pistol targets, preferably Kruger or Edelmann? I just can’t go back to those ...

Re: 185 gr. or 200 gr. for 45acp

Nobody has mentioned lead vs jacketed, so I am writing from a cast bullet standpoint. If you cast your own bullets for 45 ACP, I’ve found the Hensley & Gibbs #130, a 185 gr. .45 cal. SWC, to be very hard to beat. It has just the right combination of nose profile and bearing surface. It is superb...

Re: Black powder gun

Couple of Italian 1858 Remingtons, but they all need work to make competitive. Try for a good used Old Army to start. My 25m gun's are a well modified Uberti .36 Remington or my very old Hege Remington and well worn .44. Pedersoli has quite a presence with the MLAIC. Are their guns considered compe...

Re: Pardini Lifetime Warranty

I don’t consider what I wrote as “banging on” Pardini. Sorry if someone took it that way. As I said, I love their guns. However, “Lifetime warranty” means precisely that. It either is, or it isn’t. In my experience, it isn’t! When I inquired, I wasn’t looking for a “lifetime warranty” freebie. I was...

Re: Pardini Lifetime Warranty

I got into Pardini stuff back around 2000. Don Nygord was the importer and service guy. Everything was great! At that time, the Pardini website in Italy even boasted that they still support every product they have ever made with an extrnsive inventory of spare parts. I was sold! That was then…this i...

Re: Steyr LP10 CO2 vs Air

That's a nice pair! I like the fact, too, that switching between the two systems is so easy. My old club had a few LP1s, with some being CO2 and some being air. We had a scuba tank and CO2 tanks. Doing fills with air was super easy. On the other hand, the air version LP1s gave occasional problems. S...

Re: Anyone still using CO2 match pistols

I love my CO2 air pistols (Pardini & Feinwerkbau)! They shoot great and are built like tanks. Same goes for SSP and FWB 65. I have a Hill pump for my CA Pardini. Even with the Hill "Dry Pack" I have to regularly disassemble the entire pump to keep up on condensation problems. I use tha...
