top gun airguns is the place

John -

Just bought a new rear sight for my 200 there today. I have a much older rear diopter sight on mine, so this will be an upgrade for me.

I've found its best to call. They should have everything you need for your Tau.

Good luck

Ozzie - Mark is spot on. I was skeptical of bulk fill myself. Sounded terribly complicated at first. I have a couple of 20 oz paintball bottles and a single on/off valve attachment and a single paintball to Tau bottle adapter. (One day I will get a 20lb tank, but this works quite well for the time b...

paintball to tau bulk bottle adapter

Mike - Its difficult to get help with the Tau's. Seems most folks are using SSPs or PCPs these days. Hopefully if we keep posting what we learn, it will be easier on others down the road. I really do enjoy shooting my Tau 7 and 200. Since I last responded to this thread I picked up a used 200. It ca...

TAU 200 sight options

I have a TAU 200 with the TAU peep sights. Does anyone know the front sight size? I would like the option of threading in an iris. Same question for the rear sight. Anyone know the thread size for the rear aperture insert? I was thinking about a rear iris, something along the lines of a Gehmann 510....

Interesting article by Rada

Lanning - Your post was a timely one. I just finished reading an article by Rada and came here to post a link to it. That's when I saw your posting. Quite the coincidence. http://www.topgunairguns.com/Testing%20with%20and%20without%20compensator.htm You know the biggest issue I have with trying diff...

Tau-7: is it safe to bulk fill from a larger bottle?

Mike - Tim McMurray of Mac1 fame (www.mac1airgun.com) makes a bulk adapter for the Tau-7. Perhaps that could be used instead? I am trying to pursue something along those lines... I have a new-to-me Tau-7 which has one of these Mac1 bulk-fill adapters. With a 3.5oz tank you can shoot what seems like ...

thanks guys, that settles it...

for now at least. Mark - I took your advice and using my previous method of mounting the compensator flush, sliding a barrel weight snug up against it and then loosening the compensator to move it forward. As you suggested, I moved it further forward, this time using the length of the pellet as a re...

used a pellet to adjust the compensator...

Mark - Based on your message, I did the following: - mounted the compensator flush against the muzzle - slid a barrel weight flush to the compensator and tightened - loosened the compensator - slid the compensator forward just enough to fit the width of the pellet I was shooting - fastened the compe...

Tau-7 compensator placement

I have an older Tau-7 for which I just purchased the match compensator. Just couldn't help myself. Do you know if there are any guidelines as to the optimal placement on the muzzle? There is approximately 0.5 inches of play from having the compensator flush against the muzzle to having the first set...
