I've tried 125's LRN over 3.8 grains of WST and it will not function my 9mm 1911 with a Bomar rib. I stopped trying to find lead loads for now. I use 125 LRN,3.2gr. of WST in my NM Beretta and it cycles fine. Shoots very lightly almost like a .22, good 25 yard practice rounds for me. I use a 115 JRN...

That is a pretty amazing target for a .32 at 50. Dave you are the man. I came to use the same 1.3 gr VV310 in my FAS and it shoots like gangbusters at 25. Plus I use the same .312 bullet, anything of bigger diameter just leaded up immediately. Even at slow speed of 1.3gr. I would use the money to bu...

The Nygord Pardini's came with ADCO dots. Don knew his stuff because I think they are far superior in clarity to a Ultradot. He could have used anything he wanted but chose ADCO. Mine does not have adjustable size or color though. The 1 inch UltraDots of past seem to have a very small dot compared t...

wow! not even an hour and you got several places to shoot at. Is this a great website or what? Mr AR15 I hope you are ready to have your ego slapped around, you are in for some tough competition there in Germany. But when you return to the states you will be a far better shooter. I commend you for l...

maybe they are chasing different goals than you??
I regularly shoot 280+ with irons. I shoot irons for a reason, achieving AA level in Int'l events. yes, I can shoot more consistent high scores with dots but I choose to shoot irons at different times in order to achieve certain goals. It's not always about shooting the top score in a league match. ...

I just returned from Camp Perry where Bob had several of his conversions on display. It seems to me the new conversion is very similar to his older one, and why not the older ones work great. I've had a original conversion since about 2002 and it's been great until recently. So I took it to the olde...

I believe Doc Young used to shoot an Erma .32. Not positive though. I took a different approach when building a NRA CF gun and built a 9mm on a 1911 frame. This way I have the same trigger as my 45 and just switch my Vitarbo's from one frame to the other. I could have used my FAS603 but didn't want ...

One thing to remember is that comps on .22's always seem to have a negative affect on accuracy at 50 yards. Since the recoil is so low without one, why bother. If you cleaned the 25 yard line because of it, it might be worth it. But not in my opinion. I do know that Ruby Fox used a Tony Kidd .38 sup...

Hardball is a relative term nowadays with CMP allowing handloads in EIC matches. So with that said I have always used 18lb springs while using military issue ammo. But the gunsmith build method can also determine needed spring rate too. I believe 16lb is the original rating so 17lb doesn't seem to b...

I just wanted to note that the bullets I got from Dardas were excellent quality. His multiple diameters allowed me to solve a leading problem with my FAS 603. His service was great. I'm just trying to help people get good bullets from good people. This is an unpaid, unsolicited advertisement...........

Benelli .32
PaulTNY, the silence is deafening. I dont' know why Benelli has never gotten a following with their pistols. I've never met anyone that uses them in any pistol competitions. I've only handled one of their 22's. Just for reference I think my FAS 603 is absolutely great. Good luck with whatever you ge...
