info needed on the rule concerning max front sight height
I need to know how to tell if my front sight is legal. I have two 20 mm risers on an anschuts 8002. I see many shooters using very high setups but I do not know the legal limit or how to accurately measure mine. I do however have access to a simple caliper.

KT Adventure vrs Expert jacket
Hello, I am in the market for a jacket for my son and I am looking at the KT Expert and KT Adventure (and also a little at the Monard Super). In the KT line the Adventure is "off the shelf" or custom while the Expert is custom only. As my son is still growing I would like to stay with the ...

1st shot dropping low???
My son and I each have new 8002's. We like them very much but recently his seems to have developed a small quirk. When it has set a long time or if the cylinder has been changed the first shot will be low, like a 5. The next will be like an 8 or 9 then back to shooting 10's This sounds to my novice ...

Where to find posters
I have been looking for some shooting posters (or pictures) to use to decorate our range. I have seen some of Nancy Johnson, Matt Emmons, Jason Parker and others that give tips, demonstrate correct position, or just inspire by using images of the newest technology and Olympic or World Cup matches. I...

Back from Junior Olympic Nationals in Colorado
Just got in from the Junior Olympics and it was a great shoot. Only two boys from Alabama were there,my son and Brian Carstensen. Matthew shot well for a J3 and Brian finished 11th overall. Great shooting. Jonathan Hall from Jacksonville State won with a 589 on day one and a 597 (WOW) on day two and...

rimfire
I tried the RIKA on my silhouette gun to see if it would pick up the dry fire click there, but it did not. since it is a rimfire I was using a brass snap cap and this canged the quality of the "click" I could try adjusting the sensitivity if I fina a manual. Mine is a 2nd hand RIKA. I will...

Some airlines are easier than others (as I understand it) I am flying this week with one when my son goes to Colorado Springs for the Junior Olympics. We are flying American Airlines. I checked their website and the TSA website. I am packing the rifle in a hard sided case as required, with the ammo ...

OK i'm a duffus. I assumed that it would not pick up the trigger click (you know what the old saying about Ass-ume...)
I tried it an surprise it does pick up the trigger click! WOW how does it do that. I just saved some money on pellets:)
But my question remains about the dry firing....

Sure
I do dry fire some with it on safe and the triger works wonderfully and it feels the same but the RIKA does not pick up that. I think it would if I added the trigger sensor but with out it it seems to need some burst rome the barrel. So I am limited to live firing or shooting air. Will shooting air ...

Is it OK to dry fire...?
Is it ok to dry fire a compressed air rifle? I know you can not dry fire a springer but what about an Anschutz 8002? I am shooting mine with my RIKA and it seem to work fine when I accidentally shot it with no pellet loaded. I do not have the triger sensor but it still picks up the expelled air. Thi...

How to LEARN from RIKA
Ok I have a Rika, I like it. It is fun to shoot with and I am able to see the obvious stiff like poor follow through, and maybe a sudden increase in movement in the last half of that .3 second (final color before shot) of hold which I read as bad trigger squeeze, but besides that is there any good i...

First, thanks for reading my questions I plan on purchasing a custom Monard standard jacket in a few months, maybe in l. Trainer comparison
I am only aware of 3 electronic trainers, The Rika, the Scatt and the Noptel. Can anyone gice comparative information on these units. What you like or don't like. Advantages to each and such. Also, can additional targets be added to the soft ware such as "silhouette animals"? One of my mai...
