I recommend you don't mess with inverted bifocals to try and sight through. THe correct answer is that if you do not want a bifocal to focus on the front sight, as such a close focus will excessively blur the target. If you go through the photographic math to calculate hyperfocal distances, and do ...

Big mistake! You will have a mess on your hands. Get one lens with your scrip plus the correction to pull the focus of your eye to the front sight. I'm assuming you have shooting glasses such as Knobloch or Champion, since you have the single lenses. Your optometrist will tell the power of the lens...

No the gun is really not that bad. It just has a bead blast finish.

I guess you have different competition rules in OZ than we do here in the USA. NRA rules say you cannot disable any safety devices on the firearm.

The market for competition grade pellets is small. There are no USA manufacturers producing this quality of product right now. All the pellets I shoot with are imported from Europe. I don't believe an American firm will fill in the void. We have no equivalent to Vogel or RWS products. Not a problem...

Did any of your cases have firing pin strikes?

You could be losing headspace and chamfering the chamber opening will take the edge off.

Also check to make sure the bolt face and breach are square.

Good luck!

Also check the recess in the slide face. That is where my slam fires were coming from. I checked some cases that were slam fired and they had no firing pin indentations. So I deburred the recess in the slide face and cut a small chamfer with a stone in the chamber opening so it did not have a sharp ...

IZH! I have shot dozens of Daisys but have never bought one, and never will. I own two IZH, one Morini, and one Aeron B98. All IZH grips are a 2x4's and need to be shaped. I have never seen anyone shoot an IZH without shaping the grip. We have about 40 of them at our club shooting 10m and AP Silhoue...

Shoot it!

I have put them in backward on purpose.

Aim it at the regular 10m target and you will be surpised!

I have never had one fail to hit the black.

Or, poke it out with a rod.

You can get a wireless camera for about $50 now and do it yourself. I use my video camera because it has a longer zoom and I can place it farther from the target. Here is a picture I have posted before from my kitchen through the breakfast room to the fireplace in the den. I can shoot over 50' if I ...

Sounds like a bad situation. Even for pellets.

Send it back and make them fix it. Or increase the sear engagement.

One of mine started doubling and full auto very recently and I managed to capture a few of the cases, and it was not the firing pin. There were no firing pin marks at all on any of the cases. So it was slam firing somehow. I took the bolt off and it looked fine. Then I took a closer look and a burr ...

"who is shooting this" I don't really know of any organized matches for this, other than the one that we host at the Bianchi Cup each year, and the fun match for cash that we do at USASNC (daily winner takes half the entry fees). And we are using the real falling plates. Have you looked a...
