richard, which part did you try without success? the artical was in the coaching sect. with that veiw thought it interesting, but of little value as a shooter. they made a lot of references regarding hold ability and possible results. all very basic, that could be very helpful if you are trying to g...

good find russ.

bill, jerking trigger helps if your working a poor shot into a good result on RF.
not something you train!

o/k, I took it out of context. must be catchy.

Hi, mike s-j what you are discribing is normal. but not really enough information for much help. work on confidence knowing if you are settled, it will be easy and enjoyable. avoid things that are unsettling, eg results. even the best have difficult days. %#it happens! for you it is very important t...

Jack, just skipped over it, looks like shot process.
from this you can work on shot plan, most parts are muscle memory, but some will be important to you.
shot plan is a simple set of instructions. maybe three.

not the entire shot process.

post new shot plan, see what that looks like.

imho

steve, whats a gadflies? picking time! I think they are all important at different phases of your developement. no time now for an essay. the last 200ms is carried out in the manner that you have prepared for it. thus you can do everything 100%, but if you prepare incorrectly, that last 200ms will s...

just reread last few posts. not quite right. al b, some of what I said may appear conflicting, the reason is the whole process is not explained, re-imagination. the terms internal, and external are very specific to your imagination. so it may appear to contradict itself. If I spend some time to try ...

I still havent watched the scatt, should down load to this computer, was on about 5 computers ago! I imagine this guy is russian, therefore I suspect he fires the shot several times before he commits to it. if he had the trigger sensor connected this would show that. it would probably also show he t...

al b thats some good points. I would normally look at someone shoot, talk to them, finding a common understanding, and then work from there. I have always had to work with the shooters understanding, not theres to mine. but it is all good. In trying to cover all bases, and as many terms that seemed ...

thanks bill, my understanding is to take up the first stage, and some, depending on first stage weight, "first", then the shot process. this only leaves 20% of trigger weight to deal with. This is the portion I think you are talking about, during the shot process, it is slowly taken up til...

mmmm, some issues are lack of common understanding. daydreaming is using your imagination, as is visualisation. ie going internal as well if you hit the shoulder of the road, this is probably a micro sleep, very dangerous if driving, micro sleep not possible in competition! but it does raise an exam...

Hi steve, dont mean to pick on you but a conscious shot will fall within your hold randomly, a shot where you are not comfortable will usually be on the way out, and a well focused shot on the way in. very uncomfortable shots can break early. slightly uncomfortable shots can have good follow through...

just add to the rambling above, thinking is fine, the type of thinking is the issue. we can verbally think, or picture/visualise, both are thinking, both using different areas of your brain, thats the thing, using the correct part of your brain blocks out other areas, you buried yourself in verbal t...

bill, thats the hard way to do it, and sometimes the only way if you are struggling. sweating is fine, even shaking. long as you stay in some sort of control. acceptance that it is o/k is important to move forward.as soon as you try to supress/control these natural reactions, you start down the wron...

steve, I think you are being a bit pedantic about this hold still issue. it is the interpretation of the word in the context it was used. I see hold the pistol still, so you hold it as still as you can. it doesnt intend to be like in a vice. it doesnt mention sight alignment, but it doesnt mention b...

Richard, I look at competing higher than training, I then look at increasing the training results to meet goals. if you are training at your comp goals, some of the hard work is already done. Its no fun training 20 points higher than comp results. It is also very difficult to be the best in the worl...
