I'm changing between sub-6 hold to center of target. 20 clicks moved about 1.5" or roughly 2mm/click

Re: Delibrate shooting in match
So amarinder, Did you get a chance to practice the press and hold technique? It is different. Often we default back to allowing the trigger finger to relax and it resets during recoil. Keeping it back takes some practice but it works and one of the side benefits is that you have better control at al...

Re: Steyr LP10 coming apart?
Well in my wonderful town of East Podunk Hollar, There is not a small enough pin punch to be had. 1/16th is as small as you can get locally. I've ordered some watch band repair pin punches which come much smaller. 0.8, 0.9, and 1.0 mm

Re: Delibrate shooting in match
I call every shot in slow fire. In sustained fire I do not take the time to call each shot. Just trust my trigger squeeze to perfect the sights within my aiming area.. 1. In sustained fire What I do. (gun empty, action open, magazine loaded but not inserted) 2. Squeeze and hold trigger, Lower slide ...

Re: Delibrate shooting in match
What does " When you feel the click of sear reset." mean. Can you explain. You have been pressing trigger to release hammer then allowing reset to happen at some point during recoil and recovery. If you press and hold, you have all 4 fingers stabilizing during recoil and recovery. Make re...

Delibrate shooting in match
Let me offer this, You are trying to shoot a perfect center shot. You try to spend much time getting the right sight alignment and sight picture, then squeeze off that perfect shot. Trigger squeeze trumps all else. Rather than get the sights aligned then squeeze; Allow your trigger squeeze to align ...

Re: Steyr LP10 coming apart?
Thanks for the Illustration exactly what I needed. I think the catch lever (61) is still there. The pin (65) is still there, It appears as if the spring (68) just worked it's way under the edge of the catch lever and started backing itself out. I'm guessing cure is (hold so no escaped parts), knock ...

Steyr LP10 coming apart?
Was shooting my LP10 in league last night. Noticed a little spring coming from the top of the bolt. Not normal. Before I do something terrible and break out my gun plumber tools, I thought I'd ask here. What the heck it this, what caused it and how do I make it right?

Re: Click/sight values 25 vs 50 yd
While I don't know what you like as far as a club but I prefer a club without a RO. Rarely is there a problem and that makes EVERYONE on the range a range officer. You mentioned you shoot .22 only. I think that is a good thing. Get yourself up to master scores with a .22 and save a bunch of time/mon...

Re: New to 10meter air pistol
Yes, mostly in the winter but yes we have a couple places that do international events.
I run a weekly air pistol league in Mount Vernon. No prizes, just bragging rights but cheap.
Are you in Ohio? Where?

Tau CO2 rear sight elevation adjustment not working
Well it is fixed. If it is already broke, you can't broke it any further. The cross pin was knocked out despite my best effort, spring went flying. (no I wasn't smart enough to use a bag) I found, a big spring, small spring and a detent ball. Assume the small spring went inside the big one and the b...

Re: New to 10meter air pistol
Hey SWAG, what air pistol did you get? It's either going to be the lp400 carbon or 162ei, a couple nearby shooters have them for me to pull the trigger on....to bad no ones left handed :( the lp400 Thanks for the input people, the local club here follows the NRA rules so I need to brush up on those...

Re: New guy with question
i have some ten meter pistol targets but i printed out a target with 3- 3/8" black dots. that is what i have been shooting at. But i am using a six o clock hold on them. Wind up the rear sight a bit more and aim into the white below the black aiming mark (ABOUT 1/2 way down between the bottom ...

Re: Tau CO2 rear sight elevation adjustment not working
I can see the little wedge and the inclined plane plate that causes the sight to raise/lower. The wedge is moving full width across the angled inclined plane but does not come up. From about half way, turning the knob CCW it will lower all the way to the bottom. Which pushes the wedge all the way to...

Tau CO2 rear sight elevation adjustment not working
Due to TMB syndrome (too many birthdays) I'm shooting left handed and left eye dominant. (and not terribly well by the way) I'm limited on what air pistols I have that are left handed. I run a air pistol club and we have several loaner pistols but only one Tau is left handed. I've been using it the ...

Twitch Shot in 10 Meter Air Pistol
Bump-it technique. Works in slow fire and especially well with air pistol. Most of us use a two stage trigger on the air pistols. If you think of it as a graph. 0-100% about 20% is the first stage take up. From there a steady squeeze is required to drive the sights into perfection as the sear releas...

Re: Twitch Shot in 10 Meter Air Pistol
I logged in to post a question about my Tau but saw this and decided to chime in. I have "the twitch" as I suspect all of us do to some degree. Change in grip strength or grip position can help. I worked with a physical therapist to come up with a exercise program that minimizes that swank...

Re: Precision Revolver Questions
I can't think of a reason the N frame would be MORE likely to have a barrel restriction. It is the method Smith used to set the barrel. Originally they tightened it then drove a pin through the barrel and frame to lock it down. Now it is just locked with a locking compound and a LOT of torque. Tends...
