Sorry for a small digression, I had to look up what 20-20 means: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_acuity The well-known phrase "20-20 vision" refers to the distance in feet that objects separated by an angle of 1 arc minute can be distinguished as separate objects. The metric equivalent...

Sorry Axel, we are discussing steady hold, if it's an important fundamental or not. You are maybe talking about stance. Who knows...? Thanks for the info about the anatomy of a target. But who said anything about just shooting eights with an 8-ring hold, other than you? 8-ring hold means moving the...

Factors like stress and coffee are not pertinent to the discussion, they give true "wobble". We´re discussing hold, something u can onnly practice to achive. By Hold I mean "a steadyness in posture, that is consistent". Tobias, please recognize that the printers of target cards h...

Im with Steve Swartz here! Majority of ppl have a 9.5ring hold according too Anatoliy Piddubnyy (and i belive him, quoted below), so its prolly not the big issue in shooting!? Stability of gun at instant of firing must be the main problem. Our best accessory is the SCATT electronic system for traini...

Anatoliy Piddubnyy (sp?) talks about "wrist stabilisation", and most ppl here about "keepin the sights aligned" as the most important factor. I think its the same thing really!? Hold is a product of shooting stance and muscle tone as far as i can understand. And since we all have...

Not AP specific at all, but something i did last nite was draw a vertical line on the back of a target with a white board pen. I wanted to see how much i did sway, I set the target up at 10m. I was surprised in how little the swaying really was!!! I get totally stressed for very little of this sway ...

Balance and weight is a puzzling topic. I have often belived a gun to be much heavier only coz the point of balance is different. My Morini CM22 feels much heavier compared to a Walther KSP for example! Both weight 1200g or so (gr means grain, g=gram).
