Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

I get that - and appreciate it and all his support, but so far I had zero sessions on my own, only with him.

Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

Thanks for this advice - that's exactly what I want to do next. currently, with the trainer we jump from one exercise to another too fast, without enough reps so that I can FEEL how this new things feels. Like, we'd do 10 shots with 3 sec pause after the shot with him and a stopwatch next to me, and...

Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

Brillant comment, thank you. Indeed, before the fitting of the grip, my finger tips were indeed white, but it was because the pistol was not sitting at all. Clearly straining and squeezing the grip makes my arm swing all over the place, so let's hope fitting it will make a difference. I will pay mor...

Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

good call, thank you. After two trainings - I don't think so, but I need to look into it. Will do some hand markings to see if they line up.

So far the relief of the pistol sitting tight and not rattling around my hand is overpowering anything else I might notice.

Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

Thanks all for the comments - this has been a very good week. We managed to play a little with the grip, sandpaper and felt and indeed it fits better. A little more carving to do, but the difference in feel is stunning. Any other comments to home modifications are welcome (before I oder an XXS one!)...

Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

Thank you. I measured my hands and seems that I would need XXS, short , LH for pardini K12 from the custom grip store - I bet the odds of finding someone who had one like it are not high :)

I'm prepared to do the work through, thank you for advises and keeping me sane, everyone!

Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

I'm assuming we're heading towards this kind of grip hold around the hand on the same K12 model?

Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

Brillant, thank you.

Is this carboard-felt model something you had in mind? With this I will definitely need to shorten the shelf as it's hurting my wrist beyond the bone.

KZMNT wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 2:06 pm There is definitely not enough contact above your hand, the "horn" of the grip is barely touching anything. You can add material there to help with that (an example would be Manu Bhaker's old grip).
I can't seem to find a photo of this - would you be able to assist?

Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

Thank you, this is most helpful. I will play around, and possibly end up ordering a new one.

Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

@Rover - we're doing a little each day with sander with my husband, I'm still thinking it's simply a little too large, even through I got the smalest left-handed Pardini available. But after a few weeks, a few bruises and a blister, I already feel more stable - so this may be it? How to say if it's ...

Re: Newbie - progression and frustrations

Thank you both for your comments. I'm training 2x-3x a week at a range for around 1.5h, sending around 50-70 pellets down (per trainer's advice, I shouldn't do more not to overtrain), 1-2x a week dry fire, plus some dumbell and mat trainings and pool to strenghten my wrists, shoulders, arms, balance...

Newbie - progression and frustrations

Hi, I'm a total newbie to 10m pistol, held an air pistol for 20 trainings only, plus a local competition to practice the stress management. I'm 42, so not a kid (if it matters?) I fell in love with it, got my own pistol - (I'm left handed with tiny girl's hands so fitting anything from the club was ...
