Shoulder Issues/Pain

So now that I am one of those seasoned shooters I am experiencing typical joint problems. I have pain in my shoulder. I haven't seen a doctor as yet but thought I would post to get some collective insight from the crew here. Depending on the diagnosis is going under the knife a successful procedure ...

I did a similar turner as biga572 and used Mr. Halls design for the newest improved version. I couldn't find the timer and bought a CED7000 timer that gives great flexibility to setup timed, rapid fire or one and two shot drills or anything in between. It does need a cable which I put on a small ext...

LP10 vs. LP10E vs. LP2

I am seriously considering upgrading from my IZY46M to a Steyr. Trouble is I can't seem to choose from the LP10, LP10E or LP2. I'm not an elite shooter but really would like to make the next step in equipment. Cost of course is always a factor but performance for the long range is important as well....

High Standard .22 Ammo

I have a High Standard Supermatic Trophy I bought in 1975 and have shot it a lot in bullseye. The gun will shoot most any ammo provided I adjust the magazines. I even got several after market mags to work by patiently adjusting them. I was shooting Aguila SP and rarely had a jam but I cleaned the gu...

38spl vs. 45acp for center fire match

Ok, so in another post we are discussing a 38spl gun. I always hear how the Model 52 is so unforgiving to shoot. So what advantage was/is everyone after by going to the 38spl. Other than less recoil (which could be managed with proper reloads) what are the advantages, cost, accuracy?

Colleges with international pistol programs/teams

So what colleges have pistol teams? I was at a PPP match with my juniors this weekend and one of the other coaches and I were discussing how there are so few collegiate pistol programs. How can we get the colleges to start/continue or expand their pistol programs? Or are we doomed to decline and the...

.22 Pistol Upgrade

I am seriously considering an upgrade from the High Standard Supermatic I currently shoot to either a Feinwerkbau AW93 or a Hammerlli 208 or 215. Any comments on the maintainability, shootability, features and reliability of the models for comparison would be appreciated. I will use a red dot on the...

Rules

Thanks all for the help. I called the USAS Center. They use the ISSF rules and not the NRA International rules so it is as Richard wrote.
Thanks again.

Sport Pistol Rules Help

I have an jr athlete that has been invited to the Olympic Center to shoot the Sport Pistol event. I am a bullseye shooter and coach her in AP but when i went to check the rules for the sport pistol i was a little confused. The rules states a 6" barrel, 8.6" sight radius, .22LR, 2.2lbs trig...

Rimfire Pistol Accuracy

What is a realistic expectation of accuracy for a RF Bullseye pistol? I tend to get wrapped up in the pursuit of more accuracy and really would like to know when is enough enough. I know at least one will say that the gun shoots better than i can but if the gun isn't capable of some baseline accurac...

Thank you for the helpful information. Does anyone find that the correction needed to have a sharp front sight changes depending on the range conditions?

Shooting Glasses

I am going to get a set of Champion shooting glasses. What is the best way to have a lens correction done. I shoot both open sights and red dots outdoors and indoors and anticipate the need for various diopter corrections. I need a correction for my distance vision and now need the bifocals as well.
