Re: ISSF 10M Novice Practice Distance of 7M
Thanks for the idea! .7 is close enough that although the pellets should be shrunken down as well, it is worth a try. I do understand the importance of dry fire as well, and am doing that often.

ISSF 10M Novice Practice Distance of 7M
Hi all, I'd like nothing more than to find a good club, and a good coach / guide, but here in the NY suburbs it's an impossibility. I can't get into the only local club for about 100 miles since there is an 80 person waiting list and you need a sponsor, so I'm reserved to shooting in my garage for t...

Hearing Protection and Recommendations for 10M
Now that I'm shooting my LP2 regularly, I'm wondering about hearing protection for indoor 10m shooting in my basement. I have a few questions: 1. Is hearing protection a given, and do most ISSF shooters wear it? 2. Are Apple Airpod Pro (in-ear) or Airpod Max (over ear) sufficient? I know that their ...

Re: Steyr LP2 vs Walther LP500 Basic/Economy
Hi all, reviving an old thread to say thanks for your help! The LP2 showed up today, and my god its amazing. What a piece of machinery. Admittedly I've only ever held a Hammerli AP20, but this thing is just incredible to use. I am so happy with the purchase, and am glad to have help in getting there...

Re: Steyr LP2 vs Walther LP500 Basic/Economy
I appreciate the responses, and I do understand that experienced shooters can see pistol choice obsession as new shooters thinking they can buy ability. I am not so delusional as to think this will make me competitive. I have researched this enough to know that I will likely be frustrated and discou...

Re: Steyr LP2 vs Walther LP500 Basic/Economy
Thanks JCF and KZMNT, appreciate the info, and as for KZ I get that any gun will have its "specifications" that you have to learn. I have read here and that that Steyr parts are easier to come by, and contacting the company is more reasonable. The LP500 customizable nature of the trigger d...

Steyr LP2 vs Walther LP500 Basic/Economy
Hey all, Had a very bad experience with Umarex as my AP20 Pro showed up new from factory (green zip tie and all), but was damaged upon opening the case. The front sight was all scratched up on one side, and the tube had some marking, and after mutliple calls and inquiries to Umarex I could not get a...

Re: Hammerli AP20 Pro Silver vs Blue body, Silver vs Black Cylendar
Thanks Rover. I actually ordered this https://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shop/fill-probes-adaptors/fill-adaptors/walther-fill-adaptor-coarse-thread-pre-2012/?attribute_pa_thread-size=18-bsp-fine-thread-2012-onwards which is meant to allow bleeding wihtout having to loosen the cylendar first. Seems like ...

Re: Hammerli AP20 Pro Silver vs Blue body, Silver vs Black Cylendar
Great, I will definitely not be pushing the psi to the absolute limit, so sounds good. Thanks for the picture. I have the pro model, but I’m quite sure the mechanics are the exact same outside of the tank justification and grip. That’s a good idea on the manual, mine is 2012 as well, so if blue is n...

Thank you for the response, that is helpful info.
Do you have any experience pumping the calendars directly from an electric air pump? Or do you guys go from a tank? I’m hoping it is safe to pump directly from my electrical air pump but I thought I read somewhere that this is not advised.

Hammerli AP20 Pro Silver vs Blue body, Silver vs Black Cylendar
Hi all - First time poster here, thanks for being such an incredible reference for a new shooter! I purchased a Hammerli AP20 Pro, and unlike almost every picture I have seen online, it arrived with a blue body, and a black air cylendar. Does anyone know if this is a new colorway, or a different mod...
