Re: ClearsighT Optical System for Iron Sights

I have been ill so I apologize for not getting back. It turns out my suppliers no longer exist, so no more ClearsighT😕 I am in my 80th year... I suggest seeking custom lenses from your optometrist with the +o.75 or + 1.0 diopters added to your distance vision 20/20 lens on your shooting eye. Think u...

National Match .38

Send it to a good pistol smith for an accuracy job.

Dave Salyer comes to mind... He has done a lot of work for me.

Excellent review!

That said... Do you know of any one that can make a custom reticle (a circle) of a particular diameter for a "Dot type" scope?

Thanks... Tillman

ClearsighT anyone?

Back in the '80s I manufactured the ClearsighT system. Same concept as ShootingSight. +0.75 diopter over your 20/20 Distance lens will work for most applications in Bullseye shooting. The distance fron the eye to the front sight is usually a bit less than one meter and accommodation makes up for the...

1911 22 Conversions - Kart, Marvel and Nelson

I own a Kart and a couple of Marvel conversions. All will shoot FAR better that I can shoot!!

I do not have a Nelson version.

Can anyone on the forum give me a review of the Nelson and why one should consider purchase of the Nelson? Advantages, disadvantages etc. appreciated.

Drill your front sight...

Black...

That said, if you have the ability to change front sight blades, try drilling a 2 to 3 mm hole about 3 mm below the top of the sight and centered.

Use the sub-6 hold. The light coming through will demand that you keep your focus on the front sight.

Works very well!!

It appears that the trigger must be replaced with the SCATT unit. That will not work on a 1911.

The transducer must attach somehow to the front of the trigger.

The blinking does not happen all of the time - rather, once in a while. I see the results on the target - Blink=horrible result. I can hold 8-ring or better at 50 yards and 9 ring at 25 yards. Anything outside of those is the result of the blink, which may be a symptom of a flinch, anticipating the ...

Advice on involuntary blinking

I have finally figured out that my aiming eye is blinking at the end of the shot release. I discovered that I am not seeing the gun go in to recoil. When I consciously force the eye not to blink, the thought interferes with the trigger control... that is, thinking about something else than the relea...
