I noticed that during the recent events in Buenos Aires, Paolo Monna swapped Pardini for Steyr. I wonder why? I thought Italians were attached to their local brands. If you're an athlete even close to Paolo Monna's level, Steyr (and other brands) will shower you with their pistols. For whatever rea...

There is definitely not enough contact above your hand, the "horn" of the grip is barely touching anything. You can add material there to help with that (an example would be Manu Bhaker's old grip). I can't seem to find a photo of this - would you be able to assist? Sure thing, there's a ...

I'll accept if I'm in the minority here but I find watching the ISSF competitions pretty nice. Yeah it's not as much of a spectacle as other sports but if you pay attention you can definitely see the athletes work through the psychological pressure, and it's neat to see different holds, techniques ...

If you find ammo that works reliably with your pistol, you're better off using that than mixing brands and risking a failure during a match. When you're actually in a competition, that's the last place where you want to include new or uncommon variables.

Personally I'd love to see how different weight distribution on the first and second stage impacts the pressure graph, but I have no clue if it would actually be meaningful.

Re: Monthly AP League March 2025

I like the P8X very much. i;ve tried (as is, put my hand in and tried a few shots) morini (both 162 and 200), steyr (both E and M), walther (300 and 500). i haven;t tried pardini. i think the P8X trigger is better than all the other mechanicals and is more adjustable than all of them. i didn;t have...

Meshpro offers a well designed 3D printed grip for the 162EI, not sure how compatible that is but they also offer an "other" option, but you should check the price on your end if it's any different and if the delivery time suits you. Compared to EU prices you would be saving about 15 euros...

£285 for an OEM morini grip is actually not a bad deal, it's 286€ in germany which when taking conversion rates and import tax into account would cost you significantly more. Your best bet is to track down something used.

A lot of specialized weightlifting shoes also have a slightly raised heel, which can mess with your balance or improve it, really depends. I think it's important to always wear the same shoes, and also to check your stance if you're wobbling, not just your type of shoe.

I'd really like to see the statistics on the "additional point of failure" thing. For one I think it's just not true. Go read some threads about issues people have with mechanical trigger pistols and notice how often people talk about the "sear" or "sear engagement" th...

Do you have any tips on getting the grip back on consistently? I've found that to be the worst aspect of the LP500. I'm not sure I understand the issue? When just removing the grip using the screw on the side is pretty consistent. Not in my experience, sometimes it rotates from side to side slightl...

<snip> Pilk sells both the 162 and Evo-10 and Pilk seems to be one of the best options to buy from in the US. This points me to the 162EI? I also like that the 162EI has a built in gyroscope to use with their app for training at home and getting seemingly valuable feedback. What else should I know?...

The best way to check service availability is to ask at your club what people's experiences are, but otherwise I'm sure the US members on this forum will be able to provide some insight. As far as choice is concerned, I liked Dina Aspandiyarova's blog post on the subject: https://dinaaspandiyarova.c...
