Mark, I got into shooting for a little while last year, and enjoyed it a lot. I've taken a bit of a hiatus as shooting aggravated some tendinitis in my shoulder. When I started out, I first purchased an Izzy. I found shooting to be a lot of fun and shot a lot with it, probably too much too fast, as ...

Thank you for all the answers to my question. I appreciate the generosity of knowledge. I won't bother emptying my cylinders, then.

PCP AP Cylinder -- To Empty or Not?

I would imagine this has probably been discussed many times, but my admittedly brief search did not yield a conclusive answer... I shoot once or twice a week. Should I completely empty my LP@ Light's cylinders or not? Actually I've only been using one of them, and have never filled the other. I have...

Thanks for the feedback! Fred, I agree it could be a distraction. Maybe I'll just use it for training, then turn it off for my postal matches. Mellberg, that's a neat idea, to attach a laser to the pistol. I hadn't even thought about the recording option. I've just been using it without a tape. Like...

Target Monitor

I've been having trouble clearly seeing the holes in the target, so I've been looking into potential solutions. My makeshift garage "range" doesn't readily lend itself to a target changer setup. I thought about getting a target scope. Is that what most people use? Then I thought about usin...

Practical Use of IZH-46M

I thought I'd relate a more "practical" use of my Izzy... This morning I'm eating breakfast and my dogs start to bark. As I begin to step out the back door to investigate, I hear a loud, ominous rattling. I quickly retreat back into the house and look out the window. There, about 5 feet fr...

Thanks Gary! So that's what "With the countersunk screws on the lower and back part of the grip block the grip position can be adapted to the individual requirements" on page 29 of the manual means! Doh! I feel rather stupid. The picture you linked to makes it more clear.

Adjusting Cant on My New LP@ Light

I received my new Anschutz LP@ Light last week. I like my Izzy, but I like my LP@ Light even better! It's a really nicely crafted shooting instrument. As some of you may recall, I got an Izzy for last Christmas, and was having a lot of fun with it (as discussed in post http://targettalk.org/viewtopi...

Hello Dave! Welcome to TargetTalk. The vent hole is on top, right behind the breech. See figure 21, page 11 in the online user manual at http://www.airguninfo.com/izh46.pdf My Izzy came with O-rings in place on the pistol, and also had two extra ones in the little plastic bag in the box. That's odd ...

Nice grip on your Izzy, Ernie. I like the stippling. What did you use to make the stippling? Good shooting too!

Peter, welcome to TargetTalk! I can't give you too much advice, as I just recently got my Izzy too. That was nice of your wife to get you one! My wife is great, but not very interested in guns. She's just concerned I'll shoot holes in the wall. That's seems like good shooting on your first match. En...

Guest & T.F., I think I will leave my trigger settings alone for now. I'm not too keen on misfires! T.F., you had two with factory settings?! That must have been quite unsettling. I'm glad noone was hurt. I keep wondering how long it'll be before I shoot myself in the foot while relaxing prior t...

Misny, thanks for the encouraging words. I realize that I'm just beginning to scratch the surface with regards to technique, etc. But I'm having fun, and to me that's what's important at this point. T.F., I'm liking my Izzy. At first it seemed really heavy, so much so as to make it a factor holding ...

Thanks for the comments everyone. Fred, that's a good idea to try a Postal Match. Maybe after I can gain a little consistency, I'll have a go at it. If pressure affects my shooting like my golf, then I'll have my work cut out for me. Kent, thanks for the tips. (Yes, I shoot right-handed.) My groupin...
