Re: Where to buy Pistol boxes now?
http://www.ziegeleng.com/ makes a very robust aluminum BE case. The model they feature is a 4 gun version, but they can make them smaller. The company makes all sorts of customer specified cases in aluminum and titanium. & Ken Saunders is selling his boxes through Larry's - https://www.larrysgun...

Re: Rec's for Walther LGV repair??
Thanks rkamy - I do have my eye out or certain spare parts. It's good to know that egun lists small parts as well. And yes, mine is from ~1970. Fortunately the classic match air rifles from Walther, FWB etc.. were very well made. If you don't abuse them, they're typically easy to keep running and pe...

Re: MantisX
Does the MantisX system expose its calibration parameters? - how do you tune it for a specific pistol, or has that not been necessary?
Also is it entirely using inertial sensing, there is no camera ? - so no notion of a target and scoring against that?

Re: Rec's for Walther LGV repair??
excellent - thank you! - seems they're fine w/ shipping to the US & the prices are sane. Plus they have a bunch of parts that will be useful spares. I'd found another German supplier of seals, but they were sold with a kit to increase the rifle's velocity. It appears that Waffen-Center is offeri...

Re: Rec's for Walther LGV repair??
thank you! - missed your response 'til now. I may need to go with a substitute as LGV seals have become a rarity, as have repair techs.

Rec's for Walther LGV repair??
I have a Walther LGV Spezial that ( I suspect ) needs new seals - pressure is weak and sounds a bit burpy when firing. Who is currently working on these and can turn-around a repair reliably? Alternatively - could (should?) a complete amateur replace the seals on a classic LGV if they have some mech...

Here's a thread on TFL in which one of the members describes his results from a bushing conversion on the 97B. They're pretty impressive. http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=437142 look for the posts by schmeky e.g. One of the main reasons the 97 is so accurate out of the box is due to ...

The DU-10 is not a match pistol and was never intended to be. But it is decently accurate when tuned a bit. I can accomplish moderately sized single hole groups at 10M on a good day. Like William, I have never been bothered by the reliability issues that people complain about - I use club grade pell...

Thanks for all of the responses! I've performed a few tests which seem to confirm that the paper is the culprit. For the first series I'd rolled a fresh sheet of duct seal, and shot into this directly, w/o an intervening paper layer. All of the embedded pellets were more or less correct in their ori...

what's a typical velocity for a 747? Will I damage the action if I adjust the stroke engagement to a distance beyond the prescribed range? just to be clear, by tumbling I mean that it's evident that some pellets have rotated such that they're oriented laterally when they strike the target. Are 747's...

tumbling pellets, diagnosis?
Hello Everyone: I hope that this question hasn't been addressed repeatedly, but my searches haven't turned-up anything. I'm very new to AP, shooting a 747, and am tearing gaping irregularly shaped holes in the target. Unfortunately I don't have a chronograph to determine their velocity, but by the f...
