Thanks, that's excellent advice.
At the very least, for peace of mind, I guess it would be good to remove and inspect the striker more closely. Probably not a very complicated procedure, but apparently it would require re-setting the velocity. I agree this is probably an older design.

Re: Steyr LP2 loading lever is not cocking the striker. A pin fell out.
I've now tried to reinstall the pin by blindly fumbling around, i.e. no disassembly was done. The mechanism is working normally, FOR NOW . . .
Is this a known problem with (some models of) the LP2?

Re: Steyr LP2 loading lever is not cocking the striker. A pin fell out.
I'm guessing the problem is not related to the trigger. Maybe this is where that pin used to sit?
Maybe that used to be a separate pin sitting in a hole on the striker? My daughter's gun is an LP2 with serial 9001xx. Don't know if that's an older model.

Steyr LP2 loading lever is not cocking the striker. A pin fell out.
My daughter's LP2 just malfunctioned during a dry firing session. The loading lever is no longer cocking the striker. The loading lever is still properly attached to the gun and is moving normally. It just appears to have no contact with the striker. A metal pin came loose from somewhere. Diameter 2...

Re: Morini CM162EI: Everything's leaking!
It sounds like the loading lever has been shimmed wrong or they have pinched the shim washers. Make sure the shims are not caught under the shoulder. Well, I decided to carefully try opening the loading lever screw. Turns out it was relatively tight, but not at all super tight. It came out all the ...

Re: Morini CM162EI: Everything's leaking!
Thank you, David!
It is certainly a possibility, that when they tightened the screw, the screw started to force the bottom shim down into the threaded hole in the frame. Does this pic give any further clues?

Re: Morini CM162EI: Everything's leaking!
Ok, I let someone who was recommended to me work on the gun. The results were not great. They replaced a bunch of parts (see the pics below) and the leak appears to be gone, BUT ... 1. The loading lever is now angled wrong (I noticed this immediately while unboxing the pistol). 2. All parts of the l...

Re: FWB65 Question - what are they like to shoot?
I remember the trigger on mine randomly somehow getting stuck so that when retrying an aborted shot, there would be no pre-travel at all. That could be dangerous, even. Any ideas as to what might've been wrong with the pistol?

Re: PRELUTEC Aftermarket Cylinder - Leaking - LP300
This was my experience with Prelutec: [LINK - PDF1] [LINK - PDF2] - Main problems in 2020: The grey cylinder was 1 year older than expected and did not even work (pistol wouldn't fire). - Main problems in 2022: The blue cylinder was 2 years older than expected. Lots of cosmetic(?) defects, kind of m...

Re: Morini CM162EI: Everything's leaking!
I don't agree with Gwhite on the first point being unlikely. The gun to cylinder seal would be my first check. From my experience it's the first seal to go due to the screw/unscrew of the cylinder. On the Morini, that seal is actually in the cylinder, if I've understood correctly? I'd say it "...

Re: Morini CM162EI: Everything's leaking!
Thanks! I once again filled the cylinder to 160 bar and then left it alone for some 20 hours. No air had leaked, as far as I could tell. Then I installed the cylinder on the pistol. Now I could clearly hear a hissing sound, seemingly coming from where the cylinder attaches to the gun. I waited for a...

Morini CM162EI: Everything's leaking!
Hi, I'm the owner of a Morini CM162EI (also known as CM162EA) manufactured in approximately 1998/1999. It's the old model with the 15 Volt photo battery. I have two cylinders that very well may be just as old as the gun itself. One of them is leaking from the manometer end and the other from the end...
