That isn't a 4766, AFAIK its a 4760, but in answer to your question it will fit, although its really for the wooden stock, you will just screw the carrier diect to your square plate on the ALU stock.

Re: Anschutz 4766 Hook Buttplate

I have the Ans 4765 hook buttplate, but I like the 4766 buttplate more then the one that I have so my question is can I put a 4766 buttplate on a 2013 Alu stock? If not the how would I go about putting one on? -Brian- Am i missing something here? Surely the are the same buttplate, except that one i...

In my opinion the ALu is better simply because I can use the extra adjustment in the cheekpiece and pistol grip. If you are lucky enough to find a wooden stock that fits you well then you will get no benefit from an ALU stock. That said there are better ALU stocks than others, just because its alumi...

The book Ways of the Rifle is also very useful.

Gehmann make an adjustable triangle iris sight, as well as a square one

If you google for Gehmann Triangle Iris 549 you'll get it.

You won't go wrong with a second hand Anschutz.

Walther and FWB are fine too but parts always seem a little easier to find for Anschutz

I have a Match 54 thats 30+ years old and still shoots well.

A Match 64 or an 1813 / 1913 would be better but more expensive.

Walther KK200 a good rifle too.

I must agree with the last poster. The expensive Thunes are the best money can buy, the cheaper range is no better (perhaps even not as good) as Gehmann and ahg. Sauer and Kustermann (now part of ahg) are also good but don't pass Gehmann by without a look. The 401 jacket they make will rival anythin...

The wrist strap, the bit at your hand can be shortened, if you are the importer it should have come with instructions how to do it, I can email you it if you like (I'm an HPS stockist too) You just remove the two black screws and shorten/legthen the strap until the wire just starts where your glove ...

Both very good slings, I've used both. I thought the Swing was slighly superior as the adjuster is more 'swivelled' than the Sauer which I found to be very rigid, and having any area of a sling rigid can be uncomfortable. Both had similar levels of adjustment. I personally thought them a good idea u...

The 4751 Tim refers to is a great handstop, in the instructions for it you get photos (or at least you used to) of how you can make it smaller by shaping away the two sides. However you can't put it back obviously! The 4752 has one flaw in my opinion. If you use the offset, which you probably should...

The System Gemini handstops are arguably the best there is, but definately the most expensive. Such is life. The MEC stop is excellent, the Anschutz 4752 is also good and adjustable, I think a previous poster was refering to it. The only other one worth mentioning is the Gehmann one, they are on eba...

I also think that this ammo mathcing nonsense is exactly that. I bet that if you substituted some Eley Standard when a club shooter wasn't looking, he could not tell the difference! Can't agree there I'm afraid. Try telling that to a club shooter when he has an unexplained 8 in a good card. Thats w...

There are always some on ebay.co.uk I'm sure ebay.com have them too or a million retailers online inc. pilkguns.com, champchoice.com, intershoot.co.uk

Anyone who stocks Anschutz / Centra / Gehmann should have them
