We've had a shaky couple of days here. Looks at this stage like there is an exemption for Olympic style pistols - read into this .22 and .177 only will be permitted new licences. I'm a bit relieved as he initially looked like banning the whole lot, including .177, which is what I shoot. However ther...

They are almost identical. Both are ISSF approved and therefore made to very high specifications. I personally use and buy Kruger targets for both myself and the club, but that's because they are cheaper and easier to get in bulk. Rob. I find the Kruger easier (and cheaper) to get also. Their custo...

Why don't people like the Walther SSP?
I've never really seen that much positive commentary on this pistol. What is it that's not right? I've gotten to hold and dry-fire one once, and think it's a beautiful piece of engineering (as well as very good to look at!). My main focus is AP, but plan to get myself a good .22 this year to have so...

Well there's also the more practical aspects of buying shooting equipment from a different jurisdiction where the currency may be different. If it wasnt for paypal, I wouldn't have been able to purchase items from the US, UK and elsewhere in Europe and have them shipped to me here in Ireland. There'...

Online training log
Does anyone currently use an online tool to track training progress. There are lots for runners, swimmers, etc. but has anyone found anything useful for a shooter to track all aspects of training?

Mine tends to creep, and while I didn't measure it, at one point it had crept around what had to be less than 200g. Never had a problem, other than with my trigger finger. H. I have a bit of electrical tape over the trigger weight screw to stop it from slipping. It seems to work ok. All I'm worried...

bump for screw answer and more grip pics I checked the screws out on Sunday at the local hardware store (took them out and brought them for comparison. The Screws in the grip are 16mm M4's. The ones in the palm shelf are about 20mm (they had nothing equivalent to compare against). The other thing t...

Bigred: Amazing pic!!! Love the #’s and arrows. What program did you use to implement the #’s and arrows? Glad I could help. It's easy to add stuff to a photo. If you're using Windows, get a tool called Snagit. It's meant for capturing screenshots, but has a brilliant editor that allows you to add ...

Re: Here they are....
I cannot be sure but it looks like the "roof" on your grip is slightly lower to the right of the centre line than it is at the centre line. Thanks for highlighting this. I wasnt aware of that requirement in the rules. As it currently stands, the gun is a very tight fit into the ISSF pisto...

NOTE I didnt just do everything below in one go. It was a bit at a time, with shooting in between to be sure I was doing what was needed. Not everything I did will work for you. I've huge hands, so you may need more or less adjustments in some places. Hope it gives you some pointers. By the way - I...

Re: Breathing & Raise Technique
I'm concerned over the science behind how long you can perform after a breath. I think that depends on the person's aerobic capacity which is linked to their level of general fitness. Obviously, a heavy smoker wont have as much puff (pun intended) as a marathon runner. I breath in on the raise and ...

Shouldnt cause a problem for two reasons: 1. in your on-target, aligned position, the rearsight fully hides any view of the barrel, hence there couldnt be a glare visible from a shiny surface on the barrel shroud. 2. the lp10 barrel shroud has tiny grooves running its full length, right from the bre...

Is P44 rearsight depth adjustable?
Couldnt find the definitive answer on the 3 or 4 big threads about the P44, so... can you adjust the depth? I've a bit of black electrical tape to 'adjust' the depth of my IZH rearsight but would prefer not to use this option when I upgrade!

Re: Correct target
David: When you say the correct target, what target number are you talking about? I am talking about the ISSF 10m Air Pistol target, and the correctly reduced black and ring diameters for proportional shooting at 5m. I'm actually using the 5m scaled-down targets available here as well as some I got...
