What is this sight upgrade? I only know of two sights for the 499 - the metal bracket that requires tools to adjust and the plastic aperature sight with the adjustment knobs. Is there something else?

It's a standard fitting for paint ball guns. I have limited experience with co2 pistols but the 3 or 4 I've seen over the years used a different fitting.

Some larger companies donates funds to charitable organizations that their employees donate time to. The organization must be a 501c3 like 4H. The donations are based on the hours worked for the charity.

We receive funding from the employer of 2 parents that volunteer their time to our 4H program.

USAS PPP Counterbalance stand.

I was checking a few things on the USAS website and ran across some new things for PPP (Perhaps already discussed here and I missed it). Has anybody tried the counterbalance t-stand for PPP that is shown on the USAS website? If so, how did it go? Any thoughts or improvements I might want to incopora...

Speaking of the CMP Savage rifles, is it possible to mill the forestock of the composite (plastic) stock and install a rail? Anybody done it? Is the stock thick enough and does the plastic machine ok? I've done it on 541's and it wasn't too difficult or expensive, but, I'm not sure about the plastic.

Talk with the CMP! 4H and Boy Scouts qualify. You might need to affiliate you particular unit, but, that's just a little paper work.

Pick it up or order from the CMP - if they have it. I understand that they ae filling orders placed before some date in September and are not accepting anymore .22 ammo orders for the time being. Without this 4H/Federal deal I think we'd be throwing rocks by January. Prhaps we could just increase ou...

Savage Mark II Cleaning Rod Guide

Anybody know a source for a cleaning rod guide for a Savage Mark II (.22LR)?

I've checked the usual suspects (Champs Choice, Champion Shooters, Brownells) and haven't found one.

As Joel pointed out, the modification is legal. If you don't feel comfortable drilling the required hole in the rear of the trigger guard, you can purchase the part already drilled from Daisy. It is the piece that fits the 888 and 887. Same part just predrilled. I think the cost is around $2.50. Goo...

Been using a postal scale from an office supply house for 6 years. Never had a problem. Once I fill to what I think is correct, I always remove the adapter and double check the weight. Also, when you have a tank and fills are easy to do, you don't have to fill to the max and run the risk of overfill...

For liquid CO2 you need a tank with a syphon tube (dip tube). The tube picks up the liquid from the bottom of the tank. Otherwise you'd have to turn the tank upside down. These are somewhat uncommon but are available from welding supply shops in my area. It's the same type of tank used for filling p...

To avoid the cost of a bulk tank and adapter, you can get your cylinder filled any place that fills paint ball cylinders. An extra cylinder from Daisy is inexpensive. It will minimize your trips to the store and having a spare for backup is not a bad idea.
