Re: Where to buy a Morini CM22RF in the United States?
Hi Kevin, I bought mine from Neal Stepp at ISS a couple of years ago. It s a very accurate and easy to maintain. I use mine for Rimfire Precision Pistol(Bullseye). Call Neal on the phone for an accurate assessment of the Morini 22CM RF reliability and included accessories. Spencer, one of our modera...

Re: Would would it take to make 1911 competitive
Hi Chris, Send your Mil-Spec to Greg Derr. Greg Derr is a very respected Bullseye Gunsmith. He knows how to build an accurate and reliable Bullseye pistol. My son sent him a Springfield Mil-Spec and got back a sub-two inch 50 yard wad pistol that is also legal for CMP matches. I do not know how much...

Re: Sight blackener
Well early Riser, the simple and cheapest sight blackener is a length of
tan masking tape, that is tightly twisted and one of the ends lit. That
darned tape produces nice thick and black smoke. Just be careful to
keep the flame away from plastic bits!

Re: Varga Shooting Glasses Lense advice
Don't go cheap here. Get a scrip for exactly what you need from your eye doc (you only need one lens). That will allow you to focus on the sights plus cure other optical defects such as astigmatism. Three times is a Charm! You MUST go to your eye doctor for a shooting prescription...Also. It really...

Re: AP Pistol...grip tape aka skateboard friction tape
I just looked at rule 8.4.1.1 in the 2016 USAS and ISSF (USAS website) rules and I did not see any restrictions on grip tape for pistols. Was I looking in the wrong place? I thought I read here in the forum that grip tape was not permitted, that only stippling/roughening of the grip was permitted a...

Re: Morini or Bennelli
Hi Mac, My Morini CM 22 RF has been incredibly reliable, very easy to take down and clean, and very easy to adjust the recoil reducer to various ammunitions. I love the easily adjustable balance weights, the low barrel line and the perfect for me sights. I did however, get a copy of Spencer's guide ...

Re: Optical scope over red dot for 10m plinker w astigmatism
Good Grief Frank, 21"-22" arm distance?? Are you using a two hand Taco hold or something? First of all, follow Rover's advice and get a single focus prescription for your dominant eye. If you do that, you won't need any kind of dot or scope for 10M AP shooting. Okay, for plinking shooting,...

One of the most overlooked aspects of weight training is recovery time. The older you are the more recovery you need. Here is a very good article on recovery http://www.criticalbench.com/strength_training_muscle_recovery.htm Here is an excellent resource for all things relating to training exrx.net...

It would seem to be an interesting pistol, yet I can't find a price for it and no reviews. How does it compare say to the Pardini? Would like any information that's out there. Thanks, Dave Hi Dave, if you're in the USA, you can get them from Neal Stepp at ISS-International http://www.iss-internation...

Where can I get some batteries?local batteryplus informed me that the battery has been discontinued Hi Gir1, A replacement battery is available on ebay for $9.99, which includes free shipping. I'm not sure how much the Morini 15v button cell adapter costs; I'll bet it is more than $9.99. Look here:...

Welp Gwhite, I thank you for your lengthy discourse; but, I guess I'll
hang onto my $9.95 ebay Excell A220-E504 Alkaline battery(and unused spares).
The Excell battery has been working perfectly in my 84E for a year and a half,
which includes countless dry fire.

Re: Is it possible to tune the Steyr LP10 to higher velociti
DFWDude, what is the temperature range for the pistol Field Target range that you're shooting? The LP1-C is very tolerant of temperature changes. I've trained on my backyard 10M range with the temperature as low as 52 degrees, and high as 102 degrees. Those temperatures are my comfort shooting limit...

Re: What are the best ISSF legal (pistol event) shoes availa
Yup... I watched Kezel of France win the shoot off for silver in CF at the 1994 World Champs while wearing sandals... From that day on I promised myself that I wouldn't waste money on shooting shoes for pistol! Don't follow this example for footwear. Sandals are not legal pistol shoes. 6.19.2.7 sta...

Re: Looking at getting either a K12 or 162 EI
I really wish I could try them all. Down here where I'm at in South Orange County Calif. AP is pretty alien, everybody down here is into IPSC and IDPA firearms (including me) So I'm kinda on my own with no ability to try AP guns out. Last AP I bought was the original Steyer LP10 which I bought new ...

Hi, why don't you see how the kid does with open sights. They do have a class for open sights don't they?
A scope is not necessary to knock down any silhouette target at such close distances.

They will group into the inner ten ring and are darned near the cheapest quality pellets you can buy. Also, horrifying as it may se...

You're right on both counts! Nice work! Does it work? Are you going to send me one? My TOZ has a long carriage bolt screwed into a hole I drilled and epoxied into the forend. Works well. Hi Rover, I was positioned next to Sean at the last Free Pistol match at Prado, a couple of weeks ago. In additi...
