Re: Lighter Air Pistols - The Wave Of The Future?
After a longer break from pistol shooting I returned to air pistol shooting in March. At first I used my LP10 solely because my other pistol, a FWB 100 needed repair. Since April I use both in turn. I am practising dry-fire on 4 days (90 shots each day) and one day shooting (80 shots) - followed by ...

Re: FWB 65/80 Case
ASA, did you say you were unimpressed with your Pelican case (which model) and was the pistol and scope damaged when the case fell down the stairway? Actually, it was the other way round: The case and its content did not show any damage - me and the stairway experienced damage. Me limping for the r...

Re: FWB 65/80 Case
Painful experience lets me advocate a case from Peli: I stumbled on the stairway, nearly broke my leg and was 'hors de combat' for several days. The case and its content (Walther GSP plus spotting scope) were completey unimpressed..The warranty excludes only shark attacs and children under 2 years (...

Re: Another blast from the past
I have restarted my air pistol activities, originally considering my LP 10 as primary gun. - An old FWB 100 should be my back-up solution, in case of need.. An internal seal in the FWB was gone over time so I had it repaired and given it a try afterwards. Now, especially due to the convincing trigge...

Re: Storing Pistols with Air Cylinders
I last used my LP10 in late 2014 and then had a break for archery until April this year. The charged cylinder stayed in place.
No change was observed.

Re: Positive story on an Indian shooter
With my LP10 I had similar fuzzy holes and the sound of a shot became a feeble "ssht" over time. The precision did not change however. I sent it to Steyr for repair. They replaced a seal and adjusted the velocity. It is now slightly more air hungry - still the air supply is good for ca. 14...

Good morning Bill, Thank you for your comment. Actually, in mentioning the difference between manure and a correctly performed shot sequence you have touched a vital point: It is the job of the shooter to execute the product-oriented tasks – in project management lingo. In our case this means to per...

Hi folks, now, that our local competition dates are fixed I changed the schedule accordingly including a name change (because it is not tentative any more). The schedule's overview section is expanded to include forecasting of project performance. The goals/analysis word document (a schedule subset)...

Hi, actually, the graphics are of much simpler origin: The shooter measures the time for the respective phase of the shot plan and sorts it (that is taking respective notes) into one of three categories: excellent: if the sights are aligned and do not move when the shot breaks - AP is held motionles...

Hi folks, the preparation phase of the project is 50% complete and the athlete has started with the first competition training. Rob has made an interesting comment regarding hold time (in the ISSF-TV coverage thread): ..whilst it may look like they have a very long hold, it can be deceptive. I was s...

Hi folks, I have updated the documents (version info, some clarifications). The place is still the same: http://svlondorf1969.de/PlanungLP2010.html The download statistics indicates that the shot plan finds the most interest. However, from a project point of view the planning documents provide much ...

AP training using a project management approach
Due to professional reasons I was away from targettalk for some time. For our club I just prepared a training plan for air pistol which can be found here: http://svlondorf1969.de/PlanungLP2010.html (The German version will follow in a couple of days) Since they say "If your only tool is a hamme...

Dear all, I'd like to bring the topic of mental training into focus again. Firstly, let me thank all who took the time to download the respective questionnaire and then mailed it back to me. mental training - a reminder
Dear all, I would like to bring this topic again into focus. I am (still) interested to find out whether psychological/mental training is just a lipservice or actually used (and if, how it relates to other ways of training and how/if it can be attributed to the success/performance of the shooter). T...

Now you've piqued my interest... Just some additional information: In a German forum the new trigger found a positive reception too (some 10 entries on that topic) - but not all noticed a difference. My gun dealer (an experienced AP shooter) has organized a couple of the replacements. He was pretty...

Re: Trigger conversion for LP10
..that the difference isn't worth the price - yes, I know... While being in the shop and testing the dry-firing I was a bit disappointed, admittedly. To my really really big surprise: Today, when I finally found the time to actually shoot with it - this baby is totally different gun. ...what a diff...
