I'm 36 years old, so enrolling in high school to join a target shooting club might not be the best route. :) Then again, I always said.... If I could do it all over again I'd do many things differently! :D I've found that Madison doesn't seem as friendly toward shooting sports just based on how vari...

Your best source and recommendation?
I'm interested in purchasing a .22 auto pistol that I can use for competition once I acquire something resembling skill. I was thinking about a Ruger as they seem fairly common and not overly expensive. Can anyone suggest some sources for pistols with better prices than the local Gander Mountain? :)...

A thread for beginners could prove the be very valuable. Yes, one could search the numerous threads for information, but having a thread that serves as a repository for frequently asked questions and must-know facts could be beneficial in many respects. The sticky thread with it's compilation of fac...

Section for Beginners?
Has anoyone thought of creating a thread that can be pinned at the top of the section that goes over the basics a beginner would need to know? Common questions, overview of the different categories of rifles, the various formats for competition, etc? I would think something like that would be very u...

Sounds like good advice. I have a nasty habit of trying to run before I can walk. Patience isn't one of my better qualities. I'd like to join a club, but I'm not having much luck locating a club for air rifles. It might not count for much, but I've qualified for the NRA Air Rifle Qualifications up t...

New guy with questions
Hello, I'm interested in competing in air rifle competitions and I've recently purchased a Daisy Avanti 753 rifle. I realize that it's not the best rifle in the world, but it was in a reachable price range. I'm wondering if there is a better sight set that isn't overly expensive that would be a dece...
