Re: How to obtain such a curve in air rifle 10m??
For standing, is there anywhere a comparison of score with and without the jacket/pants? average 8.3-8.5 without jacket&pants, 9.4-9.8 with jacket&pants (no shoes) after 20 days training of 1.5 hours perday.微信图片_20231116104441.jpg Thanks for sharing this. I find these comparisons really int...

Re: How to obtain such a curve in air rifle 10m??
How do shooters who make traces like the one in Post #1 typically lower their aim onto the 10 ring? Is it done by breathing out until the sights are centered on the bull or does one let the elbow of the arm supporting the rifle forend settle deeper onto the hip until sights are aligned? I've looked...

Re: Sad state of affairs
I know I have said it before, but us rifle shooters are our own worst enemy when it comes to attracting new shooters. To be competitive at anything above 'a couple of mates getting together on the range to shoot' level in our matches you have to buy all the jackets, pants etc. This gets even worse w...

Re: uncalled rules violations??
I think a lot of it comes back to the 'televisability' of the sport. A significant portion of 3P's/10m popularity and prestige is associated with their status as Olympic sports. If enforcing rules against infractions that don't really give the athlete an advantage damage that 'televisability', they ...

Re: ISSF 300m in Australia
Mike, I understand your point and agree with what you are saying. It occurs to me that in your example you seem to be talking about adults who are already involved in a discipline where they only have to wear stuff which makes them comfortable and looks cool. Also, in these disciplines usually term...

Re: ISSF 300m in Australia
Sure, totally agree that the whole instant gratification thing(and as you say, it's increasing) that reduces most of the rifle shooter pool. And this is going to be the case in pretty much any sport, it's just in shooting that we seem to complain about it more.....no one seems to whinge that there a...

Re: ISSF 300m in Australia
Oh it’s a cultural thing alright. It takes a lot of work to sling up in an Olympic-style discipline. Most people don’t want to put in the work, don’t want to learn to use irons, it’s uncomfortable. I agree it's cultural, but suspect the issue is more along the lines of ISSF disciplines being consid...

Sporter Class
Good morning everyone, Hope things are going well. I've noticed that in the US the CMP and NRA run a 'sporter class' version of 10m air rifle with more simple equipment. Is this actually an ISSF sanctioned/endorsed thing or something they just do on there own? If it isn't, it seems reasonably popula...

Unfortunately, not as far as I am aware.
Also interested though if anyone else knows of one.
