Bleeding a Feinwerkbau air cylinder?

I need to get the air out of my LG 700 alu in order to ship it to somebody. The instruction book suggests shooting off the air, but this would take ages. In the kit there is a short black cylindrical tool, knurled on the outside and with a thread and nipple on the inside. I assume this is a bleed sc...

Grease and compressed air.

I recently greased the threads on the air cylinder of my Feinwerkbau 700, using the Feinwerkbau grease that is prescribed. Didn't think I'd put much on, but when I took off the cylinder again, I found that the grease had travelled from the threads onto the face of the cylinder where it becomes flush...

Pneumatic target guns in South America?

This is a long shot, but I wondered if there was anyone here who knows about the situation in Peru. I'm going back to live there with my wife, who is Peruvian, and I wondered if it would be practical for me to take my two Feinwerkbau air rifles and my Steyr LP10. It's really a question of whether I ...

Measuring the hand for grip size?

Is this best done with a tape measure which follows the contour of the back of the hand, or with something rigid, like a ruler, balanced on the middle knuckles?

Different methods result in different measurements.

Would appreciate some advice.

Happy Christmas, by the way.

Thanks a lot, Nano. I appreciate your advice. How do you manage for servicing, spares, etc. in Bolivia? My wife is Peruvian, and we've been thinking of going back to live in Peru, when I retire next year. I was just wondering if I could keep my airguns running in Lima. I know there is a match gun de...

Short pistols?

I notice that the Morini 162 short has the same sight base as the full lengtth pistol. Are the short models considered a compromise for the smaller shooter, or serious competitive pistols in their own right? My youngest daughter, who likes to shoot, is a shorty, and full length, muzzle heavy pistols...

Morini electronic trigger v mechanical trigger?

Most of the posts I see on this and other forums about the Morini 162 air pistol are about the electronic version.

Is the mechanical trigger version not so popular? Do shooters who prefer a mechanical devise prefer to use a Steyr or Feinwerkbau?

Air rifle cleaning - external parts?

I know that blued steel parts require a wipe over with an oily cloth to prevent rust. However, the external parts of modern match rifles are usually made of aluminium ( sorry, I should have said "aluminum" as this is a US site ). I'm aware that aluminum is very rust resistant. However coul...

Grip sizes for 10m air rifles?

This is my first post, so just let me say hello, and tell you how much I have enjoyed browsing your excellent forum. My daughters are more interest in shooting than my sons. My youngest daughter - she's twenty-one incidentally - is a keen shooter, and, when she more or less took over my Steyr LP10 p...
